okay soo dorticos is the regular wba champ.. but hes got to fight the ibf winner in semi finals... so that means since he be fighting for another belt he vacates the wba regular automatically right? or is the rules different because of the tournament.

As I understand it, the winner will be the unified IBF/WBA regular champion

It started out that way, with the super belt supposedly for unified champions or guys who had defended the WBA belt successfully five times. Then they just got greedy and threw those stipulations out the window so that can sanction twice the amount of title fights without pesky rules getting in the way of them lining their pockets.

See Groves beating Chudinov for the vacant super title back in May. The easiest thing to do is just ignore the regular belt, treat it like just another one of those "international" or "intercontinental" belts knocking around. B tier belt.

How can you possibly consider yourself the best in the world if the very organisation that gave to the belt acknowledge that there is a guy that is better than you? It's malarkey.
