They're still boxers who are going to fight one another so they may as well maximise their opportunities by dressing bouts up under tournament conditions. You say nobody cares, but I bet Frank Warren will do a better job of promoting Enzo Mac in a Super Six than Mick Hennessey has done of promoting Carl Froch.

Maccarinelli should definetely not participate. It would be taylor all over again except macca would be knocked out much earlier in his first fight.

I agree, but Sauerland wants to earn well, so he prefers to encourage British fans to watch it, if Brit~ fans, so TV can be interested, like SKY or Setanta. Some Brit must be up there. So who if not Enzo ? :think

How about Herbie Hide - used to fighting in Germany and would certainly be comfortable in that company.

ahh right :p I didn't read properly this time. Does he fight as American, Brit, because for sure not as Nigerian? Is he more popular than Enzo and people have bigger faith in him than Enzo ? Better marketing 'product' ? This tournament is all about cash, sport is the second factor right here ;> Right, there's also Herbie, who's behind Frag and Wlod in WBC rank. IDK, interesting...

Has Cunningham even fought since the Adamek fight? I like the guy but he prob needs to stay active. At least I haven't heard any news from him.

What about Danny Green? He is a light CW but surely he is in the top 6 in terms of entertainment. Personally I would like him to get knocked out but he is fun to watch

He's lost two split decisions, first of which demanded a rematch and as time has since revealed Adamek is no joke. I like Cunningham if you're down three times in a fight and take the guy to a split decision you must have done something right, no?

    Read above first
But in answer to you, of course hes done something right in making it a close fight, but you often dont get put down 3 times in 1 fight if you dont have some vulnerabilities. The rematch you also mention was another close fight being a MD win but good away win all the same. All im saying is I think Cunningham has been heavily hyped early in his career before hes really become established. That dosent mean he wont go on to be a CW great, but im not yet convinced.
