    Cruiserweight Appreciation Thread
Yoan Pablo Hernandez is a 29 year old 6'4 Cruiserweight with a 29-1 14 KO's 1 KO loss record. He was born in Pinar Del Rio Cuba and was on their amateur team before, similar to many of his countrymen, defecting, he defected to Germany and not the US for a change. His only loss was a TKO to Wayne Braithwaite by 3rd round TKO. He participated in the 2004 Olympics for Cuba and won a Silver Medal in the Pan American Games. He's pretty good but his best opponent was Steve Cunningham who has 2 questionable decisions over, I'm not sure how well he'd fare against the Hucks, Lebedevs and Makabus of the division. So Check out the Iron Man of Cuba.:bbb:bbb:bbb:bbb

He used to have massive stamina issues. He gassed hard against Braithwaite and his body language and all else stamina-wise was equal in that fight to as it was in the first Cunningham fight before it was stopped on a cut...

He looks dis-interested to me now. He looks disengaged. I think he's ready to go personally, and I would love Afolabi to be the man to do it. It's his last chance, that's for sure.

Agree on all three statements here.

Even if Afolabi loses, I like watching him fight and there would still be some good match ups to make, but yes I agree if he loses this then he doesn't deserve to fight for a belt unless he goes on an impressive roll of defeating several fringe contenders.

Personally, I think Afolabi owes us a top ten guy after that non-effort in the third Huck fight...but i'm a fan so i'm happy he's getting this shot. Personally, I think the new generation will rush the top soon so Afolabi might finding himself needing to beat younger, hungrier men to get another shot.

Hernandez is really good technically. I am not sure about his fighting spirit when the going gets tough. I think a primitive fighter like Huck could demoralize him and probably get him to quit on his stool.

He looks ready to hand over the crown. If 'hela hola' Afolabi actually is his next opponent, he might very well do it.

Iron man wtf? Weak chin, poor conditioning, mentally weak and has been saved by German refs and judges on multiple occasions all while making sub par title defenses avoiding the best CW's and holding the lineal claim which isn't even a real lineal claim (RING messed up) hostage

I think Makabu would knock him out.
