Crusier weight trys to knock out my kid in sparring!!!

    Ive never seen a pair of 18oz gloves and ive been in and around the sport for over 10 years?????? :huh

    They got em, no doubt about it, infact Tyson often sparred with them as well.

    Really?? Damn my kid now has a ****ed up hand and we have had to step up with those becuase he needs the extra padding right now, you should order some if you need them they are good for the hands and for sparring.

    lol at no such thing as 18 oz gloves. dont they make 24 oz and even weighted gloves nowadays?

    Ive just never seen them in the gym thats all, clearly you can get them as I just looked on google. Never seen them in the gym and only ever used 16s. You learn something new everyday!!

    Yeah, when I spar newer people I have to wear 22oz gloves usually.

    Your Kid reminds me of Ian Napa. who, basically is a lower level Ivan Calderon, with less power. though i have no idea how strong your kid is.

    i mean, he has a great defense, and looked tidy and neat against a huge lad.

    He boxed rings around the cruiser.

    maybe your son should counter more, he didn't throw much leather when big guy missed [often]

    I agree but the idea with the bigger guys like this is let them come out and shoot all of their bullets if we fire too soon and too often we leave more opportunitys for him to do big damage, work on your defense slipping and making him miss once you hear him breathing a bit harder than norm step it up.
    That was the case here, Why stand and slug it out with a man 50 pounds north of you? that doesnt make sense.
