The WBO still calls it that.

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose. By any other name would smell as sweet." - William ****ing Shakespear, gentleman. The cruiserweight division needs for people to care about it. In order for people to care about it, it needs the proper promotion. Nobody is really willing to do that right now, but it seems to be changing. Super 6 Cruiser is a good start.

It doesnt sound that stupid, but 40 pounds is way too much.

    my bets:
    LMW 147-160
    MW 160-175
    LHW 175-200

Well how about returning heavyweight back to 190lbs than, Roy Jones demonstrated that a skilled 190lbs fighter can still get the job done.

I think cruiserweight and light heavyweight divisions should switch names. Since cruiserweight is closest to heavyweight, it should be called light heavyweight.

It was called that in the past. But having Light Heavyweight and Junior Heavyweight is confusing, since most ABCs use the Light/Junior prefix interchangeably. eg the 140 pound division is called light welterweight, junior welterweight and super lightweight by each of the organizations. There are other examples.

Switching the names round now would be confusing as hell, even if it is more logical.
