I would have been picking Barao to beat him.

 

It's probably better than ripping it from an unsuspecting homeless man's leg.

 

as a marathon runner i was sidelined 6 weeks because of a little rupture in my leg and started mountainbiking for that time to stay active
made a bad fall on the bike and the PCL from my right knee was completely torn off
the accident happened in 2006
i also received an PCL from a dead person and it was rejected
the second operation was succesfull
doctors told me that a PCL replacement was much harder to come back from then a ACL
don't run as fast as i used to but that is because i no longer have the time to train intensively
the mobility of my leg however never came back 100 %
i still cannot sit on my knees when i have to clean something because it hurts
for a fighter with his footwork who often moves in circles and sideways this kind of injury is bad news
hope he comes back as an elite level athlete

 

He will be drunk anyway i dont see whats the big deal

 

Having alcohol in your blood will slow down the coagulation process and thus make the chances higher that you will bleed to death

I was coming into this thread to say the same thing.

Cruz has appears to have exceptional core strength, and keeps befuddling wrestlers with his take down defense blended with his unique stand-up. Barao, who is a legitimate grappler, has much better stand-up than Cruz. I was picking Barao to take Cruz' legs away from him, kick by kick, and finish with a rnc somewhere in rounds 3-5.

The poor soul, I know fighting is his life, but you can't comeback after knee surgery and be the same. We have never seen him punched out, but it's inevitable if he continues. Dominick Cruz has many, many more steps he has to take to walk into that Octagon again.

 

why would anyone take the cadvar acl opition....it has a high rate of failure. I will say however, that when I had my ACL surgery, I was tempted to take it just so I could answer the ethnic question "what are you?" with "Irish, Italian, Polish, German, English, and Zombie"

Real real shame this, Cruz is a terrific fighter, hope the kid stays strong and we see him again soon. He must do whats right and vacate the title, even if he comes back in what 8-10 months down the line (if this information is accurate) he's going to have to rebuild literally from scratch, multiple tune ups will be required.

The UFC should grant him some sort of Champion in recess title and get that belt back up for grabs. Have Cruz come back with some prelim fights and get him in once he's looking like he may be ready, its touch and go, he may never reach that level again.

If Barao defends Cruz's TD's I dont see a way Cruz beats him I honestly don't.

Barao's best chance, stalk Cruz throw leg kicks and hard punches and look to force a finish or dictate to Cruz what and where things happen (better have a good sprawl though).

Cruz; Should fight the way he always fights, awkward stand up plenty of dancing around and well timed TD's coupled with GNP (dominant wrestling).

I do fancy Barao when both men are at their best :good
