So Cruz is injured again after he tore his groin.

This now means that Faber will be stepping up to fight Barao for the belt.

After their first encounter I definitely give the edge to Barao over Faber.

Without question Barao enters as a massive favourite, have to feel sorry for Dominic Cruz, what a fighter! Plagued with injuries, real shame, hope he makes it back man!

I wonder what Faber is going to do differently?, he lost every round last time out.

It is the right thing to do. When you are out as long as Cruz has been it starts getting more and more difficult to come back against an opponent as dangerous as Barao. Hopefully this means if Cruz does come back then he will get a warm up fight against a strong contender, re-state his claim to the title and then a big fight is back on.

The way this sport is moving and evolving, I think if a champ doesn't fight in a 12 month period they should vacate the title.

He should have not been able to retain the belt this long. In other sports there are tournaments and you can only be the world champ once a year. It makes the sports really interesting because there are constant former world champs and medalists competing to become the champ of the current year.

If Cruz was still up to snuff he would have won the title back.
