Who cares about the worthless ring belt? I bet those that have a ring belt an are on their p4p list have never read even any issue of ring magazine
I remember Loma ducking Haney his mandatory contender to pick up the WBC Franchise Belt what is known as the protective custody belt to avoid your mandatory contender.
A near 36 y/o well past prime inactive Linares he's much naturally bigger than who hadn't fought in 15 months and was 3-2 in his previous 5 fights, both losses via KO, one of which to a blown up 126 pounder with a serious shoulder injury Linares hurt him badly in the dying seconds of round 10 and had the bell not come to Haney's rescue Linares would've knocked him out and if you think a closer to prime active Linares would've let him off the hook in the final two rounds you're smoking meth. Not that Haney would've made it that far against a younger Linares, mind. Loma KO'd a prime active way bigger and heavier Linares who hadn't lost in six years and was ranked #11 by The Ring P4P at the time despite the fact it was just his first fight at the weight and he was fighting with the handicap of a serious shoulder injury from round 2 onward which he obvious underwent surgery on afterwards Career 126 pounder/130 pounder featherfist Jojo Diaz who had only stopped 2 of his last 12 opponents and who Haney is way way bigger, heavier and longer than and whose only fight at the weight was winning a controversial decision over Javier Fortuna he was lucky to get his hand raised in. A shot to pieces inactive 39 y/o Gamboa who, again, Haney's 155lb (even more according to Mauricio) is way bigger, heavier and longer than.. who had only stopped 2 of his previous 12 opponents and one of them was shot and had only fought once in three years, should be 7-5 at 135, and has been dropped in like 11 separate fights Haney couldn't even wobble any of these fighters, let alone stop or drop them despite being way bigger, longer and heavier than all of them, especially Diaz and Gamboa, and hitting them with everything bar the kitchen sink. So that just leaves one-hit wonder Kambosos who is the only prime 135 world champion Haney has fought. Kambosos won them off Teofimo in one fell swoop, a Teofimo who fought like a complete moron coming out of the gates like a lunatic trying to live up to his prediction of a first round finish, which coincided with Kambosos fighting the fight of his life. And it was a very favourable stylistic match up for Haney because Kambosos cannot deal with boxers, as evidenced by his SD wins over a shot inactive Mickey Bey and past prime career 126 Selby. Even if you thought they should've been UDs he clearly struggles against boxers. Bey is/was Haney's longtime assistant trainer and both he and Haney said before the fight that Teofimo was not in the right mindset going into the Kambosos fight and that he underestimated him. They knew that if an old shot inactive Bey could give Kambosos so many problems then the young much bigger and heavier Haney could beat him. Hence why they were so keen to take the fight. Haney has never beaten a prime world champion his own size yet but his grotesque ''Get Loma off the P4P list/Errol is #1/Mell is #3, Mall is #4'' fanbase who hate Loma with a vengeance think he should be ranked over infinitely more accomplished multiple weight fighters who have not only beaten or toyed with many world champions their own size many times but have done so against bigger or way bigger ones many times OK let's play Linares had 5 losses prior to fighting Haney all of which by KO or stoppage Guess who KO'd a prime active way bigger and longer Linares who hadn't lost in six years and was ranked #11 by The Ring at the time? Loma And Loma suffered a very serious shoulder injury in round 2 Spectacular own goal Gamboa had incurred three losses prior to fighting Haney all of which via KO or stoppage, one of which to a 25-12 journeyman who was coming off a stoppage loss and would go on to lose his next two fights inside the distance too It should've been four loses because Loma victim Jason Sosa was robbed against a better version three year younger version of Gamboa than the shot corpse of Gamboa Haney fought Another own goal lol Diaz's loss? Diaz lost to a same size Loma victim Gary Russell Jr. not a two division heavier one who a 1-1 Loma literally toyed with like he was nothing in his backyard lol Another massive own goal Diaz was also lucky to get the decision against Javier Fortuna Guess who KO'd Fortuna? Loma victim Jason Sosa who Loma toyed with like he was nothing Another own goal lol Gamboa was a world champion at lightweight 7 years ago and was 39, way smaller and shot to bits when he fought Haney And guess who Gamboa won his world title at 135 against? Darleys Perez and it was a very tough and competitive 12 decision Guess who KO'd Perez in 5 rounds a few fights later? Loma victim KO 28% Anthony Crolla who is probably the lightest puncher Loma has ever fought Yet another own goal Loma put in all the hard work winning three belts individually in his third weight class, a weight class he doesn't belong it, against giants much bigger than him, most of whom big/huge punchers. Haney won them all in one fell swoop in a division he's a giant for against someone he's two divisions heavier than. How do Haney and Teo fare trying to win three belts individually in their third weight class and Haney would have to go up even higher than 147 to be giving away the kind of physical advantages Loma is at 135? Do either even make it out of the 1st round against one of the hardest punchers at 147 Super Boots Ennis? Checkmate
Not true as it wasn't even Loma's decision to be made as a Franchise Champion, Blame WBC Fatboy for that.
He did not need to accept the Franchise belt did he. We know Haney refused it. Loma lost the title fair and square and Haney is the undisputed and higher in the real P4P rankings or is my analysis wrong?
Aside from the fact Loma opted to fight the far more proven, accomplished, and dangerous murderous punching actual reigning world champion Teofimo who is the hardest puncher in the division over the completely unproven Haney who punches like a girl and had't beaten anyone with a pulse at the time. Teofimo was the bigger far more risky fight and the one the fans wanted to see Notice Teo sparking Mason Menard out cold on his face in less than a round with a solitary right hand That's the same Menard who featherfists Haney couldn't even drop once and could only stop on a corner retirement in round 9 Also notice Teo icing the previously never stopped or dropped giant 154lb lightweight Commey in just two rounds, Haney couldn't even wobble shot old much lighter Gamboa and Linares despite both being considered chinny in their prime and hitting them with everything bar the kitchen sink all night This content is protected
Woah killed it, excellent detailed post, Send this to Haney it might just make him understand his true position on the reasons to why he is not listed.
Thanks. I have plenty of experience dealing with his grotesque fans Headshot.. dead! This content is protected
Didn't see it as Loma avoiding Haney instead he just went onto fighting the stronger fighter in Teo, who also was the more easier fight to negotiate being as they were both aligned to the same Promotion Company, Let's see if Haney actually fights Loma now or will he now instead move up?
To bE fair, how the hell Is Charlo in it and not Hainey? Glad to see boxers stand up to Ring and dodgy rankings.
Well the fights that have played out seem to show Haney is the stronger fight hence we now have a better understanding why he was avoided.
He is the man standing as undisputed something Loma did not achieve. He beat Boy George Kambosos on his hometown in Australia who beat Teofimo who took Loma’s belts. The Ring P4P rating is like a consolation prize for Loma. He currently does not deserve it unless he can regain the titles.
