I wanted to do "School Boy" Bobby Chacon vs Rafael "Bazooka" Limon III next but unfortunately I can find a video that shows the first 2 rounds.

Well I guess I could do it anyway, like the Pedroza vs Nemoto fight.

"School Boy" Bobby Chacon vs Rafael "Bazooka" Limon (March 21,1980) (10 Round Eliminator for the Super-Featherweight Title Shot)

    Round 1: 10-9 (N/A announcer gave 1-2 to Limon)
    Round 2: 10-9 (N/A announcer gave 1-2 to Limon)
    Round 3: 10-9 Limon
Round 4: 10-9 Chacon (Crazy round, razor close. Chacon stunning Limon edged the round for me, but a case can be made Limon dominated most of the round to take it)
    Round 5: 10-9 Chacon
    Round 6: 10-9 Limon
Round 7: 10-8 Limon (MONSTER ROUND FOR LIMON! Ref just about stopped this one when Chacon was catching a awful beating after the knockdown)
Round 8: 10-9 Limon (Close, decent comeback round for Chacon, but Limon landed the better punches)
    Round 9: 10-9 Limon
    Round 10: 10-9 Limon

My Score: 78-72 (scored) if Limon did win 1-2 98-91 if he didn't 96-93 either way he was the clear winner & robbed.

Official Scores: (96-95 Chacon) (96-94 Limon) (96-95 Chacon)
Winner: By Split Decision Bobby Chacon.

Holy **** what a fight this was, round 4 was insane! Fantastic great fight but this fight right here is a big reason why I never liked Chacon. He should have lost this fight, but was given a gift in Cali in a Super-Featherweight Championship eliminator, and Limon was robbed of his deserved victory and a championship opportunity.

The fight was winnable for Nakajima, he just gave too many rounds away staying on the outside on the hook of Zapata's jab.

Matthew Saad Muhammad vs John Conteh II (March 29, 1980) (15 Rounds for the WBC Light-Heavyweight Title)

    Round 1: 10-9 Saad Muhammad
Round 2: 10-9 Saad Muhammad (MSM stayed busy & looked good, Conteh did little of note)
Round 3: 10-9 Saad Muhammad (Better round for Conteh, but MSM takes it on my card on volume & harder punches)
    Round 4: TKO

    My Score: 30-27 (ATOS)

Official Scores: (30-28 x 2 Saad Muhammad) (29-28 Saad Muhammad)

Winner: By 4th round Technical Knockout to retain the WBC Light-Heavyweight Championship, Matthew Saad Muhammad.

A clubbing right to the side of the head followed by 2 left hooks sends Conteh rolling across the ring in the early stages of the 4th round. A total of 5 knockdowns in the round later, and the ref waives off the contest with around 25 seconds to go in the round. Saad Muhammad, didn't fight his usual Rocky style. Instead he fought at a more measured pace, remaining active and landed hard power shots that had Conteh shying away from contact or exchanges early. Of all the MSM fights I've seen this is probably the least exciting until the finish, but probably Saad Muhammad's best performance as far as fighting smartly and taking the least amount of damage.

Marvin Camel vs Mate Parlov II (March 31, 1980) (15 Rounds for the Vacant WBC Cruiserweight Title)

    Round 1: 10-9 Parlov
    Round 2: 10-9 Parlov (closer)
Round 3: 10-9 Camel (Camel gets the timing down, starts getting the better of the exchanges, and making Parvol just miss on most of his work. Still a close round)
Round 4: 10-9 Camel (Parlov even having trouble landing his jab this round just missing with most everything, good all around round for Camel)
Round 5: 10-9 Parlov (Mate goes on the offensive from the outset and become the aggressor, does well sticking the jab this round, both fighters trade good body shots)
Round 6: 10-9 Parlov (A lot of flash from Camel this round, but with exception of some good body shots, the clean solid eye catching shots were landed by Parlov)
Round 7: 10-9 Camel (Some big shots landed by Camel this round)
Round 8: 10-9 Camel (Active & accurate round for Camel, last 10 seconds Parlov has the best sequence of the round)
    Round 9: 10-9 Camel
Round 10: 10-9 Camel (Parlov looks to be tiring, Camel's good and consistent body work has to be a key reason for that)
Round 11: 10-9 Camel (Camel pulling away)
Round 12: 10-9 Parlov (gets back in the fight)
Round 13: 10-9 Camel (Camel spends the whole round throwing his version of bombs, Mate spent the round blocking many of them with his face and midsection)
Round 14: 10-9 Camel (Parvol doing the Croatian 2-Step after Camel lands a big shot, Marvin batters Mate to the end of the round)
Round 15: 10-9 Parlov (close, I felt Parlov did enough to take the round, but he had to know he was losing and he did anything but sellout for the stoppage here)

    My Score: 144-141 Camel

Official Scores: (149-141 Camel) (148-141 Camel) (144-141 Camel)
Winner: By Unanimous Decision to win the Vacant WBC Cruiserweight Championship, Marvin Camel.

It's always a interesting fight (for me) when 2 Southpaws battle each other. For the most part this is a straight boxing match, very tactical with each man having their moments in the contest. Mate did well for the first 2 rounds, had his timing early and popping his jab and occasional straight left. By round 3 though Camel's awkward lateral & upper-body movement & herky jerkey style started throwing his timing off and Marvin started bossing the fight, even having Mate doing the Croatian 2-Step at one point in the late rounds. Camel has in my view a awkward sense of timing that plays to his advantage against a classic boxer, and it appears to be Parlov's main issue he has trouble adjusting too. No controversy here, except for maybe two of the three judges only managing to find 1 & the other 2 rounds to score for Parlov, though their scores were too wide they had the right man winning a tactical entertaining fight. I found it interesting that in between rounds 12 & 13 a announcement comes over the sound system that (the next fight I'm scoring) Eddie Mustafa Muhammad has stopped Marvin Johnson in the 11th round to win the WBA Light-Heavyweight Championship. Maybe this is a normal occurrence but I've never noticed it before, there was no commentating on the videos for this fight so maybe that's why I notcied a announcement to the crowd. The final round looks and sounds like it was recorded with a hand held by a fan or friend of Marvin, kinda funny commentary for the last round.

Marvin Johnson vs Eddie Mustafa Muhammad (March 31, 1980) (15 Rounds for the WBC Light-Heavyweight Title)

    Round 1: 10-9 Johnson
Round 2: 10-9 Muhammad (Eddie opening up, good body work and started to land the lead right with authority upstairs)
Round 3: 10-8 Muhammad (another hard left hook to the body in the opening minute hurt Marvin, and a right to the head helped him down to the canvas)
Round 4: 10-9 Johnson (Marvin gets inside and stays there pounding Eddie, Eddie doesm't throw a lot but what he does throw hurts including a few huge uppercuts, close round)
Round 5: 10-9 Johnson (Eddie is able to keep Marvin at bay to start the round, but it doesn't last long & Johnson gets inside and pounds away much like the previous round)
Round 6: 10-9 Muhammad (Johnson more active, Eddie landing the clean eye catching shots)
    Round 7: 10-9 Muhammad
Round 8: 10-9 Muhammad (Marvin's made the last 2 rounds close, but Eddie's big right hand has edged'em)
    Round 9: 10-9 Muhammad
Round 10: 10-9 Muhammad (All Eddie's work is really starting to show, especially his savage body work, he hurt Johnson badly twice this round)
    Round 11: TKO

    My Score: 97-92 Mustafa Muhammad

Official Scores: (99-94 Mustafa Muhammad) (97-93 Mustafa Muhammad) (98-96 Mustafa Muhammad)
Winner: By 11th round Technical Knockout to win the WBA Light-Heavyweight Championship, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad.

Check out all the big championship fights they showed back to back to back to back on ABC Sports from 3 different locations, those were the days. Johnson starts out well, the aggressor like he always does. Eddie came on in the second, landing a crunching left hook to the body and lead right to the head repeatedly. In the opening minute of the 3rd a brilliant combination including that hard left hook to the body that hurt Marvin followed with a big right lead that puts Johnson down. Eddie batters Marvin for the rest of the round in his laid back way, landing a massive uppercut and several more right hands upstairs, and several more left hooks to the body that are clearly noticeably hurting Marvin. The rest of the fight as long as it lasts plays out the same way, Marvin trying to climb back in it, and Eddie savagely beating Johnson's body like a bass drum and nailing him to the head with vicious overhand rights and uppercuts. The 11th was all she wrote for Johnson as Eddie caught him again with a huge right hand that hurt Marvin bad, Eddie followed up with several flush shots and a staggering a already hurt Johnson who while out on his feet never goes down, but the ref jumps in a saves him making Muhammad the ne champion.

Jamie McDonnell v Julio Ceja - Vacant IBF Bantamweight Title - 11th May 2013

    RD1: McDonnell - 10-9
    RD2: Ceja - 19-19
    RD3: Ceja - 28-29
    RD4: Ceja - 37-39

    RD8: McDonnell - 77-75
    RD9: McDonnell - 87-84
    RD10: Ceja - 96-94
    RD11: Ceja - 105-104
    RD12: McDonnell

    McDonnell 115-113

    Scorecards: 114-114, 118-110, 115-113

118-110 is too wide for me. McDonnell boxed brilliantly here. Almost let it slip away from him in the championship rounds, but to recover from being rocked & having his worst round of the fight in the 11th, to come back in the 12th and have probably his best round was quality

Matt Korobov v Andy Lee - Vacant WBO Middleweight Title - 13th December 2014

    RD1: Korobov - 10-9
    RD2: Korobov - 20-18
    RD3: Lee - 29-28
    RD4: Korobov - 39-37
    RD5: Korobov - 49-46

    RD6: Lee W TKO

Andy Lee is a baddd man. Korobov was winning the chess match, not conclusively, but but comfortably, then, again, out of nowhere, that right hook lands. How Korobov didn’t go down, I don’t know

    Canelo vs Golovkin II

I scored it 114-114 the night of and didnt exactly love my card, I did have Round 3 as a swing possibly to GGG so I felt 115-113 was possible

Round 1: Golovkin, mostly on his jab
Round 2: Canelo still felt it was close
    Round 3: Golovkin very close
    Round 4: Canelo very close
Round 5: Canelo GGG did more but I thought Canelo did the better work
Round 6: Canelo clearest round of the fight
Round 7: Canelo but I thought it was very close just thought Canelo had the better work plus controlled the center of the right

Round 8: Stream very poor, GGG seemed to carry the round
Round 9: Canelo close felt he had more quality shots
Round 10: Golovkin, he hurt Canelo and rallied well. Canelo I did thought won the first 1/2 of the round
Round 11: Canelo still found it close
    Round 12: Golovkin
    Final: 115-113 Canelo

I will probably get crucified in this for the score but I posted my other cards in here and think that they might at least vindicate me, either that or we are all entitled to at least 1 head scratcher. I did score the first for Golovkin and if you check my post history I am a bigger fan of Golovkin. I did pick Canelo so there is that.

I think both guys fought very well and as indicated I thought most of these rounds are close. Even Harold Lederman said it was close and could see it going either way when asked during the broadcast.

I think I was swayed a lot by a few things by Canelo in most rounds

    1) Punch variety
    2) His power shots tended to be hooks and uppercuts which stuck out
    3) He went to the body where Golovkin did not
    4) He seemed to put more torque and body into his shots a lot of Golovkins punches seemed to be more arm
    5) He controlled the center of the ring
    6) He partially blocked and slipped a lot
    7) He stayed away from the ropes

I dont want to discredit Golovkin, he did the following well

    1) The jab
    2) Landed to the head given he landed so few body shots I think statistically he landed more power shots to the head
    3) He landed a lot of uppercuts
    4) He hooked well off the jab though I dont think a lot of the hooks were that damaging
    5) He hurt Canelo in more instances than in fight 1

I think I could score this either way too be honest and thats why I've been reluctant to yell robbery

John Tate vs Mike Weaver (March 31, 1980) (15 Rounds for the WBA Heavyweight Title)

    Round 1: 10-9 Tate
    Round 2: 10-9 Tate
Round 3: 10-9 Tate (closer, but still clear)
Round 4: 10-9 Tate (close, Tate starting to get wild, the always tired looking Weaver not busy but accurate)
Round 5: 10-9 Tate (much closer, still Tate)
Round 6: 10-9 Weaver (Mike's best round so far, he not only landed his best shots but the best of the round)
Round 7: 10-9 Tate (good round by both men landing good shots, Tate getting the better)
    Round 8: 10-9 Tate
    Round 9: 10-9 Tate
    Round 10: 10-9 Tate
    Round 11: 10-9 Tate
Round 12: 10-9 Weaver (for the 1st time since the 6th round Mike throws a punch of note and hurts Tate bad)
    Round 13: 10-9
Round 14: 10-8 Tate (point deduction, low blows)
    Round 15: KO

    My Score: 138-127 Tate (ATOS)

Official Scores: (138-133 Tate) (137-134 Tate) (136-133 Tate)
Winner: By 15th round Knockout to win the WBA Heavyweight Championship, Mike Weaver.

What a nice man Tate was, I could listen to him give a interview for hours. Mike Weaver looked tired from the opening bell, barely throwing a punch. Larry Holmes interviewed by Howard Cossell between the 10th & 11th rounds couldn't have been more right when he said "Weaver didn't come to fight, he came to survive. I'll smash them all." Even Mike's corner were pleading with him between rounds. "Mike...You are fighting for the Heavyweight Championship of the World! Wake up! You gotta throw punches! Fight!" But that didn't stop the enigma that was Mike Weaver from plodding along, not doing much until that 15th round. After being almost shutout for over 14 rounds with a point taken the round before, his corner tells him just before the start of the final round "The only way to win now is by knocking him out." If you were watching this fight live I'm sure you must have thought "Yeah right! After how Weaver has fought this whole fight till now, there is no way that's happening." All Tate had to do was stay away and he had his first successful defense under his belt. Yet like Apollo Creed from the movie Rocky II instead of jabbing and moving for 3 minutes Tate choose to mix it up with Weaver, and allowed himself to repeatedly get caught along the ropes despite having a couple inch height & 25 pound weight advantage. Tate makes it past the halfway point okay, until he gets caught on the ropes for the last time with about a minute left to victory the unthinkable happens. Along the ropes close to Tate's own corner, Mike Weaver unleashes the right hand/left hook from hell, and John Tate frozen face-plants out cold. Ref can count to 100 he ain't getting up, and the unthinkable has happened, Mike Weaver has become the other Heavyweight Champion of the World in 1980.

I think this rivalry and fight or put so high for so long that you weren't going to get people looking at this objectively or really analyzing the fight so we're seeing a lot of emotional responses to what really was a close fight I'm not saying anybody is wrong for scoring it either way my score changed in viewings and probably would change again given the close nature of many of the rounds and I indicated that I felt most of these rounds were close
