    Round 1: 10-9 Arguello

    Round 7: 10-9 Arguello
    Round 8: 10-9 Arguello
    Round 9: 10-9 Arguello
    Round 10: 10-9 Ramirez

    My Score: 95-94 Arguello

Official Scores: (97-94 Arguello) (98-95 Ramirez) (95-94 Arguello)
Winner: By Split Decision, Alexis Arguello.

Good fight, I felt Arguello just edges it although I know many thought Ramirez should have got the nod. I think the announcer calling the fight had a lot to do with biasing people watching at home whose memories have faded on the fight, because he really made it sound like everything Ramirez was doing was great while hardly mentioning much of what Arguello landed. Still it was a close fight.

    Round 13: 10-9 De Leon
    Round 14: 10-9 Camel
    Round 15: 10-9 De Leon

    My Score: 144-141 De Leon

Official Scores: (145-141 De Leon) (145-142 De Leon) (145-145 Even)
Winner: By Majority Decision to win the WBC Cruiserweight Championship, Carlos De Leon.

This was on the undercard of Duran vs Leonard II, as was Ray's older brother Roger. De Leon fouled Camel with low blows and pretty clear intentional head butts, through the first 6 rounds as Camel was comfortably out-boxing him. From the 7th on Camel fight courageously having real trouble seeing, but the relentless pressure and leaping attacks from De Leon were just too much to overcome. This fight actually closed the show on the Duran vs Leonard II card.

Roberto Duran vs "Sugar" Ray Leonard II (November 25, 1980) (15 Rounds for the WBC Welterweight Title)

Round 1: 10-9 Leonard (Ray moving well, using the jab and pot shoting easy round for Ray)
Round 2: 10-9 Leonard (Duran looks slow & indecisive Ray to fast and landing what he wants)
Round 3: 10-9 Leonard (closer round, Leonard controlled the action)
Round 4: 10-9 Leonard (good round for Ray, landed at will countering & leading)
Round 5: 10-9 Duran (Duran hurt Leonard this round, worked him over well against the ropes)
Round 6: 10-9 Leonard (Ray caught Duran charging a few times with beautifully timed lefts & rights)
Round 7: 10-9 Leonard (Ray toyed with Duran all round, taunting/landing winding up the bolo nailing the jab)
    Round 8: TKO

    My Score: 69-64 Leonard (ATOS)

    Official Scores: (68-66 x 2 Leonard) (67-66 Leonard)
Winner: By 8th round Technical Knockout (No Mas) to recapture the WBC Welterweight Championship, "Sugar" Ray Leonard.

Leonard fought Duran the right way this time, after losing by the slimmest of margins fighting him the wrong way the entire first fight. Duran at first glance without the robe looks bloated or at least not in the shape he was for the first battle. All Ray Leonard imo, I could see maybe 5-2 as round 3 was closer, but this was heading to a clear wide points win for Leonard before the baffling "No Mas" was uttered.

Matthew Saad Muhammad vs Lottie Mwale (November 28, 1980) (15 Rounds for the WBC Light-Heavyweight Title)

Round 1: 10-9 Mwale (big round for the challenger, landed often and at will on Saad Muhammad)
Round 2: 10-9 Mwale (another big round, landing at will for the 1st 2 minutes, MSM has a good 3rd minute)
    Round 3: 10-9 Saad Muhammad
    Round 4: KO

My Score: 29-28 Saad Muhammad (ATOS)

Official Scores: (29-28 Saad Muhammad) (29-29 Even) (28-28 Even)
Winner: By 4th round Knockout to retain the WBC Light-Heavyweight Championship, Matthew Saad Muhammad.

From the opening bell Lottie Mwale was busy and couldn't miss, no matter what he threw the jab or the right it connected perfectly. The champion while never discouraged clearly lost the first 2 rounds, though he did start to come on in the 2nd towards the end of the round, but Mwale showed great defensive elusiveness to boot. Don't know if Saad Muhammad just came out cold, or simply wasn't interested at first, but he got the great equalizer (his right hand like a lightning bolt) and by the 4th round he had Mwale out cold from a monstrous left hook/uppercut hybrid taking the full 10 count for Matthew Saad Muhammad's 5 successful title defense.

    Round 2: 10-8 Hearns
    Round 3: 10-9 Hearns

Primera was the #1 contender in the world. This was Hearns in his first defense and Tommy makes him look a amateur knocking him down when he wants stopping him when he wants, and moving around & boxing when he wants like Sugar Ray.

Ken Shiro vs. Milan Melindo @ 12 rounds for the WBC Light Flyweight Title.

    This content is protected

    Round 1 Shiro 10-9 Close
    Round 2 Melindo 10-9 Close
    Round 3 Shiro 10-9
    Round 4 Shiro 10-9
    Round 5 Shiro 10-9
    Round 6 Shiro 10-9
    Round 7 Shiro TKO

This was a terrific performance by Shiro. He became the first man to stop Melindo, something that Juan Francisco Estrada, Javier Mendoza & Ryoichi Taguchi couldn't do. The fight itself was pretty good, both men started the 1st round out with feeling each other out, nothing particularly special. Melindo's best moments came in the 2nd round where he managed to land 2 flush right hands on the chin of the Fist of the North Star. but in the 3rd round, Shiro adapted, he kept his left hand up so that he can block Melindo's straight rights and from there onwards. Shiro started to take control.

With a great sense of distance and superb jab, along with a sturdy right hand. Shiro kept Melindo at bay and really just pummeled Melindo, especially in rounds 5th and 6th where Milan's face was really starting to become a mess, in which the referee in the 7th and final round went to the doctor and the fight was waved off.

A very crushing victory for Melindo, he will probably come back, he is still a player in the 108 pound division, but after a beating like that, becoming a 2-time world champion will be difficult. As for Shiro, this was his 4th title defense and his title reign so far has been pretty good. IMO if Shiro manages to keep piling victories and given his fun out of the ring attitude. He has the potential to become a star in Japan. :chuck:

Luis Ortiz vs. David Allen 8 Rounds @ Heavyweight, December 10, 2016.

    Round 1 Ortiz 10-9
King Kong punches Allen in face, Allen does nothing but get hit in face.
Round 2 Ortiz 10-9 King Kong punches Allen in face, including nasty uppercut that buckles Allen.
Round 3 Ortiz 10-9 Dave getting punched in the face and to the body, trying his best to block.
Round 4 Ortiz 10-9 Dave manages to land overhand right, knocking Luis off balancex2, but all Kong.
Round 5 Ortiz 10-9 Dave starting get beaten down now, non stop straight lefts to the face.
Round 6 Ortiz 10-9 Dave looking tired, King Kong unloading body shots and straight lefts to the head.
Round 7 Ortiz wins by TKO Dave gets back to the ropes, Ortiz unloading, he's no longer defending, ref waves it.

I did the main matches on this card on the RBR, but missed this one live, so I went back and watched it later that night, but never did the RBR. So as an OCD completest, here you go. This fight really does represent just how good Ortiz really is. Yeah I know, its just Dave Allen, but not Whyte, not Yoka, no one has been able to do this to Allen, the other matches he had a few moments here adn there, this was one way traffic aside from 2 overhand rights that knocked Ortiz off balance because he was caught off guard. Allen was hyper cautious adn soaked up a hell of a beating, very few could have taken the flush straight lefts, and brutal uppercuts that were landed on him and not gone down. Its a pity he doesn't have many skills or a punch himself, because with his chin, if he did... he could be damn near unbeatable.

Salvador Sanchez vs Juan LaPorte (December 13, 1980) (15 Rounds for the WBC Featherweight Title)

Round 1: 10-9 Sanchez (LaPorte wild swinging not really landing, steady Sal doing his thing)

Round 2: 10-9 Sanchez (better for LaPorte but Sal's faster hands & counter punching carries the round)

Round 3: 10-9 LaPorte (stayed even in the exchanges, but beat Sal to the punch with the jab in the 2nd half)

Round 4: 10-9 LaPorte (Juan came out aggressive won most of the exchanges landed big to end the round)

Round 5: 10-9 Sanchez (Sal starting to turn it up, rolling with punches well he does get clipped by a hard right)

Round 6: 10-9 Sanchez (boxing master this round, Sal hurt LaPorte on a couple of occasions)

Round 7: 10-9 Sanchez (school was in session, Sal's reflexes are so fast he was turning to go to his corner as the bell sounded)

Round 8: 10-9 Sanchez (another dominant round by the champ, LaPorte did land a couple nice body shots and a good right upstairs)

Round 9: 10-9 Sanchez (better round for LaPorte had some success rather than none)

Round 10: 10-9 LaPorte (very close slugout round, Juan landed the more eye catching shots)

Round 11: 10-9 Sanchez (back to domination, Sal pours it on)

Round 12: 10-9 Sanchez (each round getting worse for Juan)

Round 13: 10-9 LaPorte (close round Sal hurts and flurries on Juan for about 30 seconds, the rest of the round LaPorte clearly win imo)

Round 14: 10-9 Sanchez (another close round, LaPorte is starting to really hold his own now even though he can barely see)

Round 15: 10-9 Sanchez (LaPorte tried till the end)

    My Score: 146-139 Sanchez

Official Scores: (147-140 Sanchez) (146-139 Sanchez) (148-142 Sanchez)
Winner: By Unanimous Decision to retain the WBC Featherweight Championship, Salvador Sanchez.

This is a classic Sal Sanchez performance, starts slow, starts to dominate, breaks his opponent completely down. By the 11th round both LaPorte's eyes were very badly swollen almost shut, and Sanchez was hurting him regularity from that point on.

Lupe Pintor vs Alberto Davila (December 19, 1980) (15 Rounds for the WBC Bantamweight Title)

Round 1: 10-9 Davila (Davila carried most of the round, but a Pintor uppercut had him winning the round until the last 10 seconds when Davila landed a big left hook)
Round 2: 10-9 Davila (started out again a Pintor round, then it was close, then Alberto started landing everything but the uppercut to run away with the round)
Round 3: 10-9 Davila (much closer round, Pintor really started doing well here, but Alberto even it up again, then staggered & hurt Lupe in the last minute)
Round 4: 10-9 Pintor (another close round to start, but this time Pintor got the better down the stretch and ran away with the round)
Round 5: 10-9 Davila (again, what was Pintor's round is taken away clearly by Alberto in the second half of the round)
Round 6: 10-9 Davila (except for Pintor's body work keeping him in the round, this 1 is not too close at all Davila is a damn good fighter, & he's winning comfortably)
Round 7: 10-9 Pintor (very close round, Davila took the lead a couple times, Lupe evened it back up, then was more successful in the final 30 seconds to edge it)
Round 8: 10-9 Pintor (First real clear Pintor round, though Davila does land big in the final minute, Lupe seals it with a big right in the closing seconds)
Round 9: 10-9 Pintor (Lupe bosses this round, landing several huge shots, visibly stunning Davila twice, Pintor's switched up his rhythm or something & it's working)
Round 10: 10-9 Pintor (big round for Pintor, he absolutely dropped bombs upstairs & down on Davila this round, Alberto had some success, but a clear Pintor round)
Round 11: 10-9 Davila (good comeback round for Alberto, don't know if Lupe took the round off, but this round swung the momentum again
Round 12: 10-9 Pintor (Great round)
    Round 13: 10-9 Pintor
    Round 14: 10-9 Pintor
Round 15: 10-9 Pintor (very close)

    My Score: 144-141 Pintor

Official Scores: (146-142 Pintor) (143-142 Pintor) (143-143 Draw)
Winner: By Majority Decision to retain the Bantamweight Championship of the World, Lupe Pintor.

This is one good ass fight, Davila starts out looking fantastic stinging Lupe with every shot in the book but the uppercut upstairs and down. Through 6 rounds it looked like Alberto was gonna run away with this one, guy was a damn good boxer, I had it 5-1 Davila at that point. Then back comes Pintor slowly but surely building momentum, changing something about his approach, because this went from Davila not being able to miss, to Lupe getting off first and landing hard flush shots regularly. After 10 rounds I had it even, with Lupe looking like he's gonna steamroll right over this guy for the last 5 rounds. Davila comes out to swings the momentum in his favor again with a good 11th. After 4 real good rounds from Lupe I don't know whether he took the round off or what, but he's down again after just pulling even. Switching to my phone, so I'll update my score, but this is the last of my thoughts on the fight here, and next to my round scores. Very close the last round could have went either way.

Chandlers first title defense, he came into the fight severely underweight at 113 1/2 pounds. The challenger right at the Bantamweight limit of 118. A very physical fight, this one is kinda hard to watch due to the poor quality of the video.

Excellent performance by Pedroza, he was really feeling it in front of his home country fans. Though he shouldn't be champion right now as Rocky Lockridge beat him fair and square and was not awarded the decision.

    Round 11: 10-9 Usyk
    Round 12: 10-8 Usyk

    115-112 Oleksandr Usyk

Very, very close fight for the first seven rounds, Hunter was up after that, he won four rounds at least, definitely, on my card even five rounds, he looked pretty good there but gassed a bit and slowed down, Usyk took over and Hunter took a massive beating for the last three rounds and was ruled down in the last round. He showed some BIG HEART there as Usyk was completly hammering him and he didn't quit, a good sign imo, his chin also looks pretty good, he took some massive flush shots in the last round and wasn't getting KOd but responded and landed some shots on his own. A pretty good fight and if you love Usyk you will like the fight too. Hunter is really good. I am pumped for the Ilunga fight tomorrow.
