Swanson can get the KO... But he's content to just coast and really hasn't left 1st gear.

    10-9 Swanson.

49-45 Swanson. Amazed Lobov actually took a round and managed to go the distance here.

    Thoughts after last nights card.

    - Swanson did what he needed to get the job done.. But definitely didn't impress, there's no way he's iced another shot.. Especially considering Aldo/Holloway both have dominant wins over him.. Regardless of the outcome of that one, the thought of either rematching Swanson isn't an exciting one. If Holloway wins then Edgar will probably get the next shot, assuming he takes care of business against Rodriquez.

    - Diego Sanchez and Jake Ellenburger both need to retire asap.. But were brutally KO'd and have absorbed a lot of damage in their respective careers, at this point both are nothing more than stepping stones for prospects and fringe contenders.

    - OSP proved that he's still hanging on at the latter half of the top 10 of the LHW division, which probably says more about the depth of the division than his actual ability... Would like to see a rematch with Shogun.

    - Dodson didn't really impress against Wineland, the fact that he looked so mediocre against a washed up fringe contender really speaks volumes of the depth at Flyweight compared to Bantamweight.

    - Joe Lauzon vs. Stevie Ray was an absolute war... Decision was a bit iffy but then against the judges are a lot more liberal with 10-8 rounds than they used to be. Would have rather it been scored a Draw, but it's not quite in the realm of robbery territory. Another thing... I find it absolutely baffling that Swanson/Lobov received FOTN honors instead of this one... As for the future of both guys - Lauzon proved that he can still hang with fringe contenders and other gatekeepers, but he should really think about hanging up soon.. He's had a long career in which he's absorbed a **** ton of damage, has more reason to carry than Ellenburger or Sanchez but he should definitely think about hanging the gloves up soon. Ray? Definitely a tough guy with some upside, but LW is a completely stacked division with a lot of killers. Probably floating around the 15-20 range, unlikely that he cracks the top 10 any time soon.
