Hey friends we are or we are discussing the wrong subejct. I just honestly believe that if World boxing at all levells were equal from the beginning in terms of a successful ameteur career followed by a crack at the pros the record books would be massively different

Cuba would have a hard time ad******g to the pros, as far as boxing is concerned because they are trained primarily for Olympic scoring. The reason Puerto Ricans are more successful in the pros than the Olympics are because they are train from a young age to excel at the pro level. Now baseball is a different situation...I think they would be very succesful if given the chance.

You know...if Tyson didn't marry Robin Givens his career might not have tailspinned at Buster Douglas. If Thomas Hearns didn't feel his rubbery legs before his match against Hagler we might have never seen the legendary match it is now*, and yes if most Cubans and Soviet fighters were allow to fight the game would be different. You can speculate all you want. It only adds up to nothing since it didn't really happen.

*On ESPN Thomas Hearns was on TV saying how he felt like he didn't have the legs to go the distance with Hagler and felt it important to try to take him out early.
