kevin mitchell ‏@kevinmitchell50 1h Fascinating development that Cuba joining WSB. Will this stop defections of their best boxers or open up Cuba to the pros?
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/cuba-ends-half-century-ban-pro-boxing-181831235.html This is a really significant move. If their guys box for other teams and travel around a lot it would make it easier for them to defect :think
It's brilliant news, hopefully the first steps towards allowing their fighters to turn pro. Worse case scenario we just get to see fighters like Ramirez fight more often in the WSB , which is no bad thing
The rules say you have to have a few overseas fighters, hence why the UK have a few Irish lads in their ranks. Wonder who the Cubans would want fighting for them

Their are quite a few around who are good enough to fight for the Cubans, especially if the get a few of their second string fighters from other sides in the WSB. Id imagine it would be a grreat experience to box for the Cubans in Havana. Wouldnt mind seeing a few of the Irish lads go there:deal Fighters like Ward, Nevin and Conlan would fit in well there I think.
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/cuba-ends-half-century-ban-pro-boxing-181831235.html I believe that now only leaves the pariah dictatorial State of North Korea, and the biggest ***** nation on earth that is Sweden, that still exercises a ban on pro boxing.
What makes that so incredible is that MMA is very popular over there, how the hell they can have that legalized and not pro boxing is beyond logic
