    The system??:huh :huh

You got to be kidding right?

Cuba misses out on billions of dollars because of the embargo and the ''blockade''.
Add to that that the (trade)relations between Cuba and Europa have also stagnated.

No trade no money. This has nothing to do with the system:huh
Of course it's true that capitalism is good for economic growth, but if there was no embargo and ''blockade'' life would be 10 times better in Cuba.

Hmmm, this is turning out to be a debate on political ideas. THough I believe ardently in Capitalism, and hate a lot of the oppression and propaganda in communist countries, you still have to credit Cuba for a lot of things. For example, they have a great health system and their literacy rates are very high. Not bad for a country under an embargo.

On the other hand, Ayn Rand all the way. I believe in freedom above all.

I have much respect for the way you replied at the post I made.
I apologize if I got carried away a bit. I understand you and your family had difficult times there, sorry again.

If I'm correct the poverty does exist because of what I mentioned before. But not being able to have a public opinion is definately something of the system.

I think the Russians (ex Soviot Union) as wel as boxers from other Eastern Bloc countries have done pretty good for them selves.

Nothing to worry about. Cuba has good boxers. Just like USA, Mexico, Puerto Rico, etc...... Some will make it big. Others won't. Don't get confused by the success Cubans have in amateur tournaments or olimpics. I will tell you more, if Cubans are allowed to go pro the dominance in amateur boxing will end. You have to remember that because they can't go pro, they spend many years as amateurs. So, when they go to the olimpics you have a cuban fighter that has been fighting for ten years fighting against amateur boxers that have been boxing for like 4 years only. Plus, they are like 25-28 years old and are fighting against many 17-19 y/o. In other words is like professionals against amateurs. Not very fair

Exactly what I am talking about. When you represent Cuba in their boxing team the government take care of you. Thats what you do for a living. They go to the olimpics with boxers that have like 200+fights. And they are fighting kids with 50 fights. They are not amateurs, they are professionals without pay. If they are allowed to go pro they can say bye bye to their olimpic boxing dominance

No hard feelings,i believe most people are just disoriented by propaganda.Evereything that sounds antiamerican nowdays is in fashion.
Believe me,Cuba needs the embargo more than what you think. It gives an excuse of why poverty and shortness of food etc.I've been there.
Im 100% cuban and very proud.I'm honored of being from the homeland of so much talent. But Cuba doesnt belong to a couple of older brothers or a dinasty of comandantes.Nobody should spend 20 yrs in jail because writting a book or a poem against the goverment.
Again, hope you will reach deeper on what's Cuba about.
(and i dont like Bush in case u are wonder:thumbsup )

You better beleive it.. I absolutely honour those fellers , look at the pro's we have had since then.. We have had JC Gomez, Cassamayor, Castillo (Ellicio) , Solis Fonte.. etc.. Its a fabulous array.. There are a lot more.. Imagine the past champs they could have had.. Bolado, Savon, Stevenson, Kindelan, Deuvegal..
