Anyone excited for this all Cuban clash tomorrow night? Contested over 10 rounds. From what I know Brown was an accomplished amateur but only has 4 pro fights at 30 years old. Umara is 23 years old with 14 pro fights and just shut out Jayson Velez which is the most noteworthy name I can see between either man. Umara a dog coming in at between +200 and +400 depending on where you look. Interesting to see how this one plays out, Umara must be moving up to 140 pounds from lightweight because Brown has never fought below the 140 pound weight class. Probably a good idea as he's 5'10 and not small at weight weight. IMO one of the most intriguing clashes of the weekend with the potential to be very exciting. What do you think?
Brown's pro debut was against a (faded) former world champion. He's being fast tracked for sure. This content is protected
Just noticed three of Brown's opponents first four opponents have been almost forty years old... His one fight that's gone the distance was a competitive affair with the 33 year old Julian Smith.
brave manager. brown is a nearly man. sitting between Cruz and Iglesias. surprised he went pro and rushed through quickly. def see him up at 147.
dunno. might be fine...just been the same weight for a decade and a half. that either means very comfortable or bursting at the seams. long arms, 5'8 on paper but seems taller and a broad back...i just have that feeling. chin wise. i have seen a few of his am fights and he takes a few shots you'd think a ref would call a standing. but different game, different gloves, different mindset. low hands and no short left hook mightbe a real concern.
