Cuban style 1 & 2 o'clock with the navel pointing towards the opponent. 1:50 the coach is the telling to land on the point of their toes with the weight and head over the knee.

Gamboa reveals Cuban slipping technique again the navel is pointed toward the opponent.

Wouldn't fighting like that require an iron shirt along with a cast iron jaw.

thanks for posting. i appreciate watching other coaches train.

most of those videos of the cubans are warm up and coordination drills. the one video where they are walking forward throwing combinations is where the navel is forward (its impossible to throw a 1-2 without your navel pointing at your opponent) is a drill. you would only do a portion of that drill in practical application. they're doing one skill for repetitions . but then watch the partner drill where they're more narrow and jabbing at each other. 2 drills for different purposes.

that video of correra was uploaded in 2010. the rules for boxing were different then. it was still the computer system where three judges had to score in one second for a point. body shots were valid but the chances of 3/5 judges seeing it were nil so lots of countries adopted more lateral movement and less body offense.

going forward you want to step with your toe. if you use your heel, then the knee locks out almost pole vaulting you into your opponent, not to mention that the heel is a braking motion putting your power into the ground instead of the the target (unless you're infighting and driving your man off balance by using your heel between his legs to drive him back, but that's not a punch).

A good pal of mine said this about the Correa video

where ladders drills will improve your coordination and quickness 1 leg plyo jumps will improve your explosiveness and sense of balance. all very important and specific to boxing. you can incorporate a few of these exercises into your shadowboxing routine. you may recognize a few of these here.
