Hi everyone. heard a lot about how good the cuban training is. But is there anyone who know how they train, what they do differently. Any links, ideas or info? Would be interesting. The Predator
I friend of mine just came home after training in Cuba. In short they trained 12 times a week, (1 day off), lots of repetitive technique training. Running every day as well as *some* olympic lifts. What they do different? The cubans are professional since early age with no need to think of work. Training 2 times a day, year after year, makes good athletes. Actually it sounds a lot like how they train thai boxing in Thailand.
Hi Rakaslag. Yes if you can train as a pro you get results, that´s for sure. Would be nice to know what sort of teqnique training they did. rakaslag sounds swedish? are you from Sweden? You know, I am. all the best The Predator
Seriously though, see this thread for more on why Cuba produces champions. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70570
How about the russian/ukraine/Kazakhstan teams? They produce strong boxers, anybody know what they do different/their routine etc.?
like teddy said. u have to find ur identity as a fighter and use ur god giving attributes. also u have to realize that every fight wont be the same. diversity is the key.
Is it possible to just go over to Cuba and train with there boxers? I know afew clubs in England that have taken their boxers to spar and train with the cubans.
Predator: Japp, Stockholm. Both Cubans and former cccp are known to have very strong boxers. They do lift weights (olympic lifts). I do not know if that really is the key difference in performance but rather that they pick the best kids to put in the athletes schools, the amount of training, the intensity and the culture. They *live* boxing.
