Hey, at least I give you credit for saying that. It's nice talking without insults. Like you said " most " Cubans haven't adapted to the pros but many have adapted. Examples include Casamayor, Juan Carlos Gomez, Hurtado, Gamboa, Rigondeaux, Lara, YP hernandez etc.

There are many factors why some of them fail as pros, the main one being their lack of dedication. They simply can't take the temptations of the free world and end up entangled in parties, women, drugs and alcohol. Other factor is that since they were stars at the International level they come with a " star " mentality thinking " I am already Olympic Champion " and don't train hard enough.

The other factor is the amateur style. Many of them end up with mediocre pro Coaches that don't know how to make them " adapt " properly to the pro style but the few that do find a good Coach ( especially a Cuban ex-amateur ) do very well. Examples include Gamboa ( trained by Salas ) and Rigondeaux ( trained by Salas ).

The bottomline is that while they were stars overthere they also have to train hard and stay away from temptations here. If they don't do that then they don't live up to their full potential.

I have read all these Cubans posts. Sometimes I agree and sometimes I disagree, but we do it with intellegence in civil debates. That's the differance.
