I will say this... even though Floyd has proven to have a decent chin, there is absolutely no way he could "shrug" off shots from Cueves and still be standing or at least stick to a winning gameplan...and thats no knock on Floyd..there just isnt anyone that could. I think over 12 Floyd would win a clear decision but he would have to work very hard for it and would probably want to leave the welter division as soon as he could...big difference from taking shots from average 140 pounders to taking them from the one of the biggest punchers to lace them up at 147.
He was hurt by Demarcus Corley at 140 for ****'s sake, and you're thinking he's shrugging off Cuevas's bombs at 147? This is why you have no credibility when it comes to Floyd.
I can easily see this one turning into PBF-Castillo I. A fight I thought Castillo won by the way. I may not give Margarito that much of a chance against Floyd, but I see things differently with Cuevas. A level up on Tony imo.
I don't see any concrete evidence to suggest that Cuevas would knock out Mayweather. Thats combining Mayweather's defense, his chin, and recovery powers when he needed them. Cuevas' power was rather lethal to say the least. But for the likelyness of the knockout happening, it would need to be a war with Mayweather taking punches round after round. Mayweather would need to be reckless to give Cuevas those opportunities. Mayweather never fought a puncher as devastating as Cuevas. But that doesn't automatically mean he gets knocked out. Styles make fights. I think Hearns would be a more solid bet for scoring a KO. He's got the speed, height, reach, jab to control the fight, and everything needed to land punches regularly on Mayweather. Cuevas doesn't IMO. Mayweather fought Castillo with one hand as he had a torn rotator cuff.
robbi he wasnt that hurt against corley and if i remember he kind of stumbled at the start of the round then at the end hurt corley so proving his power of recoveries
