Cuevas would murder him early and decisively. Maybe with broken jaw, eye socket, or cheekbone.

I'm not sure a prime Trinidad would've beaten a streaking Jesse James Hughes. That one would've been life and death for Trinidad.

Toss a coin in a kill or be killed shootout.

Trinidad would be a slight favourite in my opinion. He has the better technique and an edge in height. This would be fun to watch as long as it lasts.

Just read the post on Patterson's chin where people have said that he did go down but was only ever really hurt v Liston and Ingo. Same with Trinidad. He went down frequently but I don't recall anyone ever really knocking him senseless.

I see this fight going along the lines of the fight with Yory Boy Campas. Trinidad's superior technique and two fisted attack see him home but Cuevas may give him a scare or two.

I could stand to be corrected though; I've only seen his fights with Hearns, Duran and Espada. So I'm not well-versed but what I saw didn't impress me and I do really rate an on song Tito.

Trinidad by stoppage in an exciting fight with both guys probably tasting the canvas. As stated before he had better punching technique and was a better boxer with a better defense.

Cuevas' WBA title run always seemed hollow to me. Most of those WBA challengers were terrible, and Cuevas decimated them...until they put him in with someone good.

    I'd pick Trinidad by KO.

Eddie, that was my first point of comparison too...except I don't think Felix would survive Cuevas getting to his chin like he did with Yori Boy.....and I actually like Felix better as a fighter. I would hope that he wouldn't allow his chin to get in the way in this bout with killer Cuevas....he couldn't afford to.

Two punchers it could go either way. Between the two Cuevas was more open to punches IMO. Trinidad wasn`t defensive master but he did box a little better. I don`t there are two many Welterweights who could take flush punches from Trinidad. Cuevas would have to.

Might depend on where the fight is fought. Mexico City vs San Juan.

Trinidad by ko within six rounds. Tito was just the more highly skilled fighter plus he had a ko punch in either fist.
