Probably Shamrock, wouldn't surprise me if it was via striking either, Le gets hit too much. Add to that the fact that Shamrocks better on the ground, looks like Frank takes it unfortunately
Certainly possible, but I don't think a decision is likely for either guy; its a 5 round fight after all.
Shamrock's once quick and powerful takedowns have deteriorated along with his knees. Cung Le should be able to withstand Shamrock's takedown attempts. Le is the more seasoned and polished striker - which means this match plays out standing. Cung Le drops Shamrock with a spin kick to the liver.
I can't possibly see Shamrock losing this fight, unless he comes in with such bravado that he thinks he'll knock Cung out standing. Even an old Shamrock, with worn knees and all, should be able to take Cung down and tie him into a pretzel.
My great-grandmother was best friends with Mr. Rogers, so I'd picking him to come back from the grave and challenge Fedor to a deathmatch. Okay, so the first part of that sentence was true, but the last part, yeah, not so much.
I can't imagine shamrock losing. I've always thought le was a fraud who only fought cans in his own style, and he's been built up in his mma career. I think he very well could be embarrassed and beaten quickly.
I dont know much about Le but I really want to seem him beaten down in brutal fashion for this reason; fighting people in that ridiculous Kung Fu league who had zero experience in the style, and then celebrating like he'd liberated France from the Nazis. It was reminiscent of the Klitshckos career in Germany when they'd beat a can with a losing record and be lionised with ticker tape, band music, joyous adulation and the like atsch
i think his point may be that picking someone to win a fight because they use to know someone you know is a little ******ed.
I don't really know cung le at all. I know Shamrock is still a really challenging fighter so I am guessing he is going to take it, I am looking for Cung Le;s fights but can't find any.
