Cung Le talking 3 fight deal with UFC (possible anderson silva match up ? )

Well at least it would give Silva a legitamate title defense and deepens the UFC Middleweight division. However i don't think that Le will pose to much of a threat to Silva.

 

This is the greatest news I've heard all year! Cung Le is the only man that can challenge Anderson Silva at 185.

Bull****. You guys are still sleeping on Cung Le. The guy is a master striker with a 100% KO ratio in his MMA career. He'll do better than Rich Franklin and others have. This is a real superfight if it happens.

100% against cans and an old Frank Shamrock. You can't seriously say that he will give Silva his best challenge yet when he hasn't beaten anyone in the top 10 or top 20 for that matter.

 

Well I think technically Cung Le is a better striker than Silva...Only problem is hes not as explosive and doesnt possess the power to really put a hurtin in a much bigger fighter in Anderson. Cung had problems putting Shamrock away and that was mostly a standup fight.

 

The only hope Le has I think is to break Silvas bones somehow with some kicks like he did to Frank, I honestly don't see Le winning but he is a badass striker so.... who knows. I wouldn't pay to watch the fight but I'd like to see it.

 

I don't know if I would consider him a better technical striker. For instance (and of course, I realize that Le is far better than Raymond Daniels) Raymond Daniels has a wide arsenal of near worthless moves that he displayed in Chuck Norris' joke fighting league. A large arsenal of impractical moves doesn't make you a better technical striker. Side kicks aren't usually a good idea in MMA, and I think Muy Thai matches up favorably with San Shou.

Anderson's reach, power, and pinpoint accuracy leads him to a dominant victory. I think Anderson, once again, makes another one of his opponents look like an amateur.

 

Anderson Silva would dip Cung Le in bleu cheese and eat him like a chicken wing.

 

Whenever this fight rolls around - I challenge this board to an avatar bet. I tried to get you all to do it for the Le/Shamrock fight but no one stepped up.

A month of wearing ***gy avatars will help you guys remember that Cung Le is for real.

 

Le's striking isn't as suited to MMA as that of Silva, and he's never been tested on the ground (since Shamrock followed the worst gameplan of all time).
