Hands of Steel! I love that guy. You can never count him out, even though he's insanely one-dimensional. He looks like this after the first round :!: and then comes out like this in the third :bbb and ends the fight like this :happy.
That was just as surprising as it was depressing. Cung Le wiped himself out early and Scott's defense kept him alive long enough to finish him after he got burnt out. Tons of respect for both fighters. Le's head was lumpy to say the least. Hell of a knock out.
That was the third time I saw Le fight and regardless of how tailor made Smith may have been for him, Le looked fantastic in that opening round. Best kicks I have ever seen in MMA. Made some other good leg strikers look like one legged lumberjacks. Smith deserves all the credit for hanging around and eventually finishing the way he did. Strikeforce should reward him with a huge payday in his bout. Cung Le should not be discouraged, he has some incredible tools at his disposal. Whether or not he chooses to address his weakness at his current age/status in life may be doubtfull. Regardless; I will make time to watch whenever he fights
:shock::shock::yikes wow i thought it was gonna be over and cung le was gonna win. Damn i didn't see that coming. I knew smith had a punchers chance but he wasn't connecting anything until that round. What a finished. :thumbsup
Cung le was on his way to a victory until smith landed a left hook on cung le chin. Le went down, got up and smith kept punching landing another big punch that dropped le. Smith threw 2 more punches while le is on the ground and the ref stopped the fight. heartbreaking loss for le. He was dominating the fight.
