I hate all this ducking crap people start spouting. Steve Bunce always says fights only get made because of 'cash common sense'. It's risk reward. Alexander is a rising star coming off a great performance on HBO. Bradley has put together an incredible run of wins, including a great performance on Showtime (I think?).

The fight will most likely happen because of each fighters' nature and desire to be the best. But it just doesn't make cash common sense right now.

Anyway - has an official offer been made to Bradley and his people? Is it a fair offer, which serves to enrich both fighters financially as well as in legacy terms? If not, there's no ducking going on.

Man so what about mega fights. It's right now a big fight that everyone wants to see. Why wait when these 2 right now are the 2 best fighters in the world today at junior welterweight? You people act like that in a year they both will be like Mayweather, Pacquiao as huge draws lol. This is the same thing that happen at 140 between Cotto and Hatton at junior welterweight cause Cotto vs Hatton could had happen back in 05 in which many people want to see that fight but Hatton promoter and Cotto promoter want both of them to build up names for a mega fight but guess what? IT NEVER HAPPEN.

Why? Cause they both are the 2 best junior welterweights in the world today. <<This fight should happen next. Forget about "mega" fight cause they both won't be huge draw in a year later anyway so why wait? I already give you an example of Hatton vs Cotto never happen at 140 pounds both promoters back then wanted to build their names and then make it a mega fight for that but it never happen in which sucks. Let me ask you a question, when was the last time there was a big big fight at junior welterweight that is both top 2 junior welterweight fighters that are both undefeated??????

same post i made in the other thread you made about bradley ducking alexander:

correct me if i'm wrong but i thought the WBC prez sent devon a message saying that if he fought bradley he would be stripped on the best. In response, cunningham said devon would not be giving up the belt ie they wont be fighting anytime soon and it has nothing to do with bradley not wanting it and everything to do with devon wanting to keep his strap and the WBC not wanting devon to take on bradley if he keeps said belt.

i highly doubt bradley is scared of alexander seeing as how he is taking on maidana next. All they are doing is setting up the bradley/alexander showdown for all the marbles down the line and if they both keep winning, that fight will be huge.

A fight with Maidona for Bradley and a fight with Khan/Mailgnanni for Alexander, both to be shown in HBO, is better in terms of more publicity and build-up than if they fight right now. That should not be disputed. Unless you think either of those fights are too risky for them, which I believe is not the case.

Why did the Cotto - Hatton fight never happen, either at 140 or at 147? Did they talk about it like we are talking about a potential Bradley - Alexander fight?

After this statement, on ESB, where fighters get rated on talk more than how they perform in the ring, Devon Alexander just went up the p4p rankings

I agree. If they keep winning, all it's going to do is make for a bigger fight that's going to happen. I'd be pounding the table alot more for it to happen now if there wasn't good competition for each man to fight in the meantime, but that's not the case here. There's plenty of good fighters at 140 for both Bradley and Alexander to build their name value with for a couple more fights each.

When that happens and the call for Bradley-Alexander hits a boiling point, then we'll see the fight made. I'd love to see the fight today, but it's only going to be that much bigger with a little more time to build it up as a real grudge match for 140 lb supremacy.

dont think he is scared of Alexander but he isn't making much sense with some of the reasons he gave for not fighting him

Bradley is pretty much the LAST guy we should be accusing of ducking at this stage of the game, given his recent quality of opposition.
