He lost to Włodarczyk via decision as well. So why not a rubber match?

Wasn't it a smart move? I have to admit that Gaye is very good at avoiding dangerous opponents.

Wouldn't exactly put Cunningham down as a dangerous opponent for Haye. Let's face it, if you making a list of attributes for a fighter to beat Haye, you wouldn't be looking for lack of punching power + dodgy chin.

Strange how Cunningham waited until he was sure Haye was really going to HW before he started even talking about fighting him.

So, you are basically saying that the only way to beat Gaye is to KO him? I have to disagree. Gaye could be easily outboxed by USS Cunningham. It would not be a surprise.

Well it's certainly the most likely way.

Cunningham outboxed Adamek for large parts of their fight, but still managed to lose on points because he couldn't stay off the floor.

Haye is a harder hitter than Adamek and a better boxer. Cunningham v Haye might be reasonably competitive as a boxing match, but Haye has the power to turn it decisively in his favour and Cunningham doesn't so much.
