BT: There are a lot of fighters in the cruiserweight division right now. A lot of big names, a lot of titles, David Haye just moved up and vacated. Who in the cruiserweight division would you like to fight, besides Adamek?

SC: Any beltholders. God willing, we're going to handle this business with Ademek. The WBA champion I believe he's defending against Jones Whoever holds the belts, I would love to unify the title. To truthfully unify the titles, to get them all, not just a few, and then vacate and go up to heavyweight. I want them all

He also says that his fight with Adamek should get finalized by Sept. 29th.

Cunningham is committing career suicide by staying in the uninteresting cruiserweight division. There is no money there currently, and there hasn't been at any time in the divisions short history. Considering he'd probably be America's best heavyweight, there is no reason why he shouldn't move up. It makes financial sense and he has a great chance of actually succeeding on the biggest stage in boxing.

Haye vs. Cunningham in 2009 for a heavyweight strap would be great. Now these two are what heavyweights should be all about.

Steve is the #1 right now, but he wants to prove he is the champ, not just a very good contender with a belt.

He'll have to go through Adamek to prove that point.

I believe Cunningham is too small to be a heavy. He weighed in at 192 for his last fight.

Good call. Cunningham walks around at 195, has trouble putting on weight, and is not a big puncher. How staying at cruiser is career suicide instead of going to HW is career suicide is beyond.

We need to see Steve in action alot more. And by "we" I mean the world. This guy is badly underexposed. I'm looking forward to seeing him fight anyone on HBO or Showtime in the near future, but the Adamek fight is an absolute must.

yup. not everyone can be a hw. you have to be born with the size. cunningham wasn't but he's a top cruiser for sure.

He has the height, and he is cut too. He might be able to go to heavy and do a bit of damage with the state the heavy division is in...

Being that cut isn't necessarily a good thing when it comes to potential for putting on weight effectively. He'd need to add 15-20 more pounds of good weight, and that's easier said than done.

Descibing him is one thing which I did, actually knowing what he has to do is another. He knows what he has to do to compete at heavy if he gets that chance...

Career suicide according to whom? Cunningham can have a very nice career financially if he makes the right moves. He doesn't have the style nor the flair to be a genuine star and moving up to heavyweight wouldn't change things. He wouldn't be making big bucks there unless he somehow found himself in a title fight with a marquee name and last I checked there aren't too many outside of the Klitschko brothers. However, he can have a very good career as a cruiserweight and he can do so by continuing to fight in Europe. He's proven that he can win on the road so why not continue to do it? He can capitalize on the little following he built up in Poland and Germany and throw in a homecoming fight in Philly if he holds onto the belt long enough. I'm sure the paychecks he makes overseas are better than the ones he'd be making here in the states. Cunningham's a good fighter and he proved by beating Huck that he's gonna be a tall order for anyone in the division. The sad truth is that as good as he is, he'll never be a star in the US. He can make himself a credible fighter by staying at cruiserweight and becoming the Ring Champ. If only he could get a fight with HBO they'd use their excellent documentary skills to portray Cunningham as a true "world" champion. A guy who goes into other fighters' countries and wins. If anything, people will be intrigued by a 5-10 minute montage that shows him as being the road warrior that he is.
