Cunningham just put way too much into it early and just tried to force it when he was tired. After the first four he should have just settled down and boxed him standing in front of him and conserve some energey for a few rounds they were pretty even when he done that. When he got tired after his movement he started just rushing in and being nailed by good shots, played right into the farily immboile Glaskov. Could have just ran the last one or two then

He won but was ripped off by the judges:?

No wonder boxing has lost so many fans it's corrupt, and political BS...

Cunningham won the fight by 2 rounds or more, laughable that this was UD and the judges involved should be investigated.

Glaskov was landing the cleaner harder shots though in fairness from 4 on. Cunningham made it easy for him though. Plenty of tight rounds don't mind if scored for Cunningham but using a certain criteria Glaskov could be given the win. wanted Cunningham to win and he could have but let it slip

Don't know where people find 7 or more rounds for Glazkov, Cunningham won that clear

Judging from the score cards, Cunningham had lost when he stepped in the ring.

Another Canadian judges rip off as I see it No way in hell did Glascov win that fight. Once again the Canadian judgesscrewed the legitimate winner out of the decision. Are they corrupt or just totally inept ?? You decide I know my opinion. Steve Cunningham was robbed
As for the Kovalev-Pascal fight was a war from start to finish. It looked like a quick stoppage at first but on closer look Kovalev had just landed bombs & the ref was right there saw something in Pascal he didn't like & stopped the fight. This fight demands a rematch hope they do it. Pascal earned my respect he fought valiantly. Better to be stopped early than too late Lets do it again

Your theory fails to account for the American judge who also scored the fight for Glaskov.

    A good decision all round.

Cunningham was slightly busier but all the heavy shots were landed by the Ukranian.

    Agreed.

But you somewhat understate the case for the stoppage.

Pascal was demolished and KD'd in the corner, but for the turn post.

Had not Kovalev slipped and wasted a few seconds getting up, Pascal might have become the second man to be killed in the ring by Kovalev.

Rewatch Pascal's trek to the other corner on legs of jello, oblivious to where he was. It could have ben stopped there.

Because of the short delay and Pascal's insistence, the ref reluctantly agreed to a restart of the action, but when it became obvious how things were going to go for another two minutes or so, he very correctly stopped the affair, saving Pascal's career and perhaps, his life.

    Far rom it.

We had a very one-sided beatdown where one man won round out of eight and made one other round competitive on the way to a brutal stoppage.

It might be that Pascal is the only viable opponent for Kov, having given him his toughest professional opposition to date, but given the manner of the defeat, a rematch is certainly not 'demanded.'

He earned the respect of all who witnessed the event. The fact that he survived the fourth round alone is a better accomplishment than some fighters wins !

    Heart and guts.

I'd watch this again, but when Pascal watches the tape and thinks things over, it's pretty obvious the second would be like unto the first.

The only reason for Pascal to do it again would be $$$. He needs to think about his health.

I'd rather see Pascal take on Adonis.
