"If it was up to me, I'd like to be back in the ring by June or July. Tim Bradley can get it, so tell Gary Shaw, Cameron Duncan and Bradley to stop faking. If Bradley really wants to claim the #1 spot at 140, let's do this." "I think Devon would love to fight Zab in St. Louis, but basically where we're at right now we want to make the fights that make the most sense. If it's Zab, it's Zab. If it's Bradley it's Bradley. We know Amir Khan is going to run from us, so I'm just talking realistic here. I'm looking to make the fights, we want to fight on HBO and we want to make the fights that make the most money. This is a business at the end of the day." "Tim Bradley is talking all this junk that he ain't got no opponent, well he does now, if he's still looking to fight in June, we'll be ready to fight him in June. If he thinks he's the best, let's make it happen." No reason this fight shouldn't happen. Both the fighters want it, and Devon's trainer/manager wants the fight as well. I think Bradley is definately the better fighter. I think he has the better handspeed as well. However, Alexander is pretty quick himself and is a lefty.
I like Devon slightly more but am having a hard time thinking who I would root for. I like Bradley by 8-4.
I think Bradley would win. He keeps finding ways to win. He's already fought guys with handspeed, guys with skills. Devon brings a new problem being a southpaw but I expect Bradley to overcome it once again by putting a lot of pressure on him.
It would be a huge fight not only in that the winner would be the unquestioned man at 140, but it would likely raise his P4P status significantly, i.e., Bradley to around 5-7 and Alexander to around 9-10.
I want to see this fight really badly, but next year when they both have a few more high-profile wins under their belts. This could be a superfight in 2011 if they've beaten the likes of Khan, Valero, Malignaggi, Ortiz, Maidana, JMM, Hatton, Judah, etc
I kinda would have liked to see this fight built up to a bit having them both beat some other top fighters then clash, but hey, im down to see it whenever lol.... great great fight between two young good fighters. Bradley 7-5
This fight would be great; two guys who are humble and totally dedicated to their craft boxing it out for the right to be the best light welterweight in the world. I hope they don't make this fight "marinate" but make it happen. I think Bradley takes a close split decision.
3 belts on the line in a fight between 2 fresh, talented, fan-friendly fighters in one of the sport's deepest divisions? Yeah, that's likely
