Cunningham has a solid chin, it's been tested by the likes of Wlodarczyk, Davis, and Huck (what little he could land). His power is very underrated due to his high level of competition, but it takes very good power to keep Haye off of you, so that would be the biggest question mark for me in this matchup. Like you said Cunningham has the edge in boxing skills, but to me the biggest difference in this fight would be stamina. Haye's has never been world class whereas Cunningham can go the full twelve and then some, while carrying his power into the final rounds, as we saw against Huck.
That's fair. And I ain't going to argue, cause in a way I agree. Haye's the champ at cruiserweight. But I will offer this ONE difference. Lennox Lewis and Kostya Tszyu both WON the undsiputed title (which by defintion, was at that time, holding ALL three belts - WBC, WBA, IBF [now the WBO maybe included, not sure])... Then due to them not being able to complete all their mandatories, they were stripped of their titles. Haye on the other hand, won the UNIFIED (WBC, WBA) title of Mormeck, who although was previously an undisputed champion, it was HE who was stripped, not Haye. And I reckon Cunningham makes a pretty good dispute to the undisputed claim of Haye (although I tipped Haye, don't get me wrong. Not 100% sure though... Admittably, cruiserweights haven't normally been my thing, but slowly, my interest is rising).
:good Cheers mate. To be honest, I hadn't really factored in stamina, but when I think about it, your right. I probably don't see Haye winning a decision, especially if he fades late. And if Cunningham does have a good chin, and Haye didn't get him out of there, obviously his chances to win increase. Interesting for someone who hasn't seen a lot of Cunningham to get the whole competition as a reason for his low KO rate. All I really have to go by is his "paper", where his KO ratio doesn't seem that great. But as you say, fighting good opposition will usually reduce the KO ratio. Well it's official now. I wanna see Haye vs Cunningham!
Cunnighams belt doesnt 'dispute' that Haye is THE Champion, it merely puts himself forward as a legitamate possible challenger.
That IS certainly one way to look at it. And I have said in this very thread, "Haye is the Cruiserweight champion, nothing else to it"... But I personally believe there is a slight difference to being the cruiserweight champion, and the undsiputed cruiserweight champion... Although it really doesn't matter. I am agreeing with you in a way, just have a slightly different outlook on the whole "undisputed/unified/linear" thing than you do (I think). But again. Haye IS the cruiserweight champ. :deal :thumbsup
