    Thanks again.

Hernandez certainly seems like the more classy operator here, he's got a nice, relaxed stlye.

    Round 1

Hernandez throws lots of punches from the outside, using his length and height and just outworking Herelius. The champion does his usual thing, bouncing on his toes on the outside and keeping his shoulders loose to roll with punches, and pawing with feel-out jabs from far out. Hernandez has some good flurries in the first half of the round but slows down, pacing himself. Herelius misses a lunging lead left.

    10-9 Hernandez

Hernandez has to pace himself. Gassing himself out has been his undoing before.

    Round 2

Herelius waves his right jab around like a wand while circling right. He is trying to keep Hernandez from getting going by holding him in place with the jab and actually snapping it out a few times. Herelius is staying pretty close, but leaving just enough space for him to leap out of the way when Hernandez loads up. Hernandez is economical with his own right jab, just sizing Herelius up and watching him use lots of energy moving, shimmying and bouncing around. Herelius leans back at the waist to slip a Hernandez 1-2 and a followup left hand. Herelius is coming forward jabbing and trying to wind left hands around from the blind side. Herelius is actually reminding me a bit of a southpaw Holyfield (current, old version). :blood Anyway, Hernandez gave away that round.

Closer round, I gave it to Hernandez though. Landed a nice little flurry in the last 10 seconds and landed a bit more throughout the round it looked like.

20-18 Hernandez. Not that it really matters, the only way Herelius wins here is by stoppage anyway.

    Round 3

Herelius is busy with his jab again, and still bouncing and rotating his arms a'la Holyfield. Hernandez has folded himself up in the middle of the ring, arms pressed tight against himself and making a small target but also not squaring himself up to attack. They exchange jab feints. Very tactical. Hernandez with a NICE sneaky right hook. 1-2 from Hernandez. Jab from Hernandez. Here comes the offense... Herelius bounces as he sticks a jab in Hernandez's face and then bounces away. Herelius sticks to the outside now, bouncing and jabbing. Hernandez follows cautiously, watching Herelius for openings. Hernandez comes in barking with a 1-2 but Herelius proves a slippery eel. Hernandez keeps coming forward and his persistence pays off as he cracks Herelius with another right hook to the face.

Nothing significent in round 3. I give it to Hernandez due to a left hand early in the round and a right hook at the end of the round.

    Interesting.

Herelius appears a little tired, but is standing in his corner. :think

He needs to keep exploring that right hook. He landed it twice that round very nicely.
