14 pounds? I think this is the largest discrepancy I've ever heard of in 45 years of following boxing
I thought the title was a typo of 1.4 lbs, which is still missed weight and bad and should be punished for but I've seen it happen multiple times. ...FOURTEEN? Wasn't he fighting at featherweight 126 or something last I checked? That means he weighed in at 140 at super light, THREE divisions above? Did he dream of having weighed in already and accidentally rehydrated prior to the weigh-in or something? Edit: checked it, apparently he came in at 147.8 lbs so I guess it was supposed to be a catchweight 134 or something like that. Either way, lightweight came in at over welterweight, un-effin-believable.
I thought it was a running joke because Leonard Ellerbe used to be the CEO for Mayweather Promotions who promotes Moton until just recently, and your account name is Ellerbe.
Thank God someone's standing up against this weight class nonsense. We just need to have guys fight it out at the weights they are and let the best/biggest come out on top for a change. Dubois kills either of these dudes. But if they wanna try on all-weight terms, go for it.
Very very strange, 14 pounds is just criminal, not just that it was Thanksgiving - did he even know he was fighting this weekend? His opponent should get some of Moton's paycheck now. He is very talented but he won't go far enough if his mindset is not in the game.
