No defense? You're saying Diaz never slipped, blocked, rolled with, parried, or smothered a punch in his life?

Obviously he wasn't a defensive-minded fighter but Broner's accuracy is a double-edged sword, since his selectiveness holds back his output. Diaz was quick on his feet, and Broner stays planted. He threw fast combinations and came in behind a tight high guard. If he survives Broner's relatively scarce power shots to the head early by being determined and catching some on the gloves, he likely goes into the second half of the fight with a lead on the cards.

Diaz had solid fundamentals on the inside, he'd be a better bull than DeMarco or anyone else Broner has ever fought. If Broner can't use his forearm to deter Diaz, Diaz would use his own shoulders to push Broner and offset his feet; Broner needs to set his feet to throw.

Just look at the way he anticipates and sets up shots up close in the 2nd round and boxes a bit more carefully in the 3rd, competing evenly with Campbell throughout, who was more dynamic than Broner is at this point. Broner has power and accuracy on his side, but the flat-footedness and frequent low-volume would work against him when facing such a relentless and well-rounded fighter.

Broner could win, but again, no evidence Broner straight up "kills" him when he hasn't faced anyone on that level.

    Right :good

Diaz is not going to land more shots then Broner. Peoples output slows down when they face Broner because of his counters and power.

    Diaz would take a beating

youi could say the same about Broner. who did he beat?
it doesn't matter. he unified the lightweight division and became undisputed champion. something most fighters will never accomplish. if you want to discuss resumes, it would be best not use Broners to compare to Diaz's victories and accomplishments.

also gave a good version of Marquez one of his toughest fights. Broner would have got spanked by Marquez too.

Diaz stops this young nikka, it's a Prime Juan Diaz vs a talented but Green fighter?? come on joe, get serious, DeMarco was not close to the level of Diaz. **** makes me sick, so called Boxing fans with terrible memories, it always happens, who will be next? At least Broner didn't pull a Canelo move and made Salido climb up to fight him at 135.

That the thing the baby bull never really beat anybody Broner has never really beat anybody. Broner has way more skills than Diaz. Broner TKO 9 or 10

Katsidis, Freitas, and his performances against Marquez and Campbell are far beyond anything Broner has ever done.

Broner has the superior defensive guard, superior power, and is more accurate and efficient offensively. Diaz has the quicker feet, the quicker combinations, a comparable jab, and a relentless offense.

Broner's not going to out-run him, so the fight will be likely fought on the inside on Diaz's terms when he chooses. For every one hard shot Broner lands, Diaz will probably land 5, mostly to the body, which DeMarco was targeting at will, especially Broner's right side, which is always open. Diaz keeps his chin tucked real well and won't stand there taking shots like DeMarco did without slipping, rolling, and blocking a good deal of them. The punishment may take its toll, like I said before, but Diaz has volume working for him.

Fans really need to work on distinguishing looking very good stylistically and actually being very good skill-wise.

Broner doesnt want to out run Diaz. He wants to fight and he is a better fighter than Diaz. Diaz is not going to land a 5 to 1 ratio stop dreaming. The guy lost to every B level fighter he faced.

Diaz will not throw as many punches against Broenr because he would get countered. This is the same **** people say against Floyd so an so is going to out work him. The fight happens and there output is less than Floyds.
    Same thing with Broner

Baby Bull in his prime was a hard night for anyone. He gave JMM hell for the first 6 rounds before Marquez figured him out and effectively ruined him as a top level fighter. I think Broner would wear him out down the stretch and either stop him late or pull away on the cards to pretty clear decision, say 116-112, but Diaz would definitely pose a lot more problems than DeMarco. Juan might have been a fairly light hitter, but he was physically very strong and was relentless. There would be times wear he would force Broner on to the ropes, get in his face and unload. Diaz was no slouch either, he had pretty good handspeed.

Your argument is simply that Broner is "better" without giving any concrete examples. Stop pointing to resume because Diaz has accomplished much more against better fighters than Broner.

Broner can counter Diaz, but on the inside, Diaz has experience in using his height to his advantage. DeMarco had to duck down because of his height, and left a huge gap when crouching for the right uppercut and left hook to catch him up top; Diaz makes himself small, tucks his chin, and throws tighter. Broner doesn't counter every shot, he only throws when he's sure he'll land, and he's never faced someone with the speed of Diaz. He's vulnerable to the body and vulnerable to smart combination punching; PDL didn't compete so well by fluke.

Floyd does everything far better than Broner and is actually proven against top fighters. Broner looks good but has yet to prove himself beyond a win over DeMarc.

why are you attempting to explain technical breakdowns to this kid? he doesn't need to ever watch a Diaz fight. Boxrec tells you all you need to know.
this guy is better than that guy. simple as that!

Diaz' stamina was a problem. He threw so many ****ing punches that he was always done in by the late rounds. That's when I think Broner would pull away. He'd drop a good few rounds early on just covering up from Diaz' attack, probably landing the odd counter but not enough to win rounds. Once Diaz slowed down a bit, Broner would start to step it up and eventually start putting it on Diaz. Baby Bull wouldn't go down without a fight like DeMarco did though, he;s not going to stand there like a dick just letting Broner unload.
