Current Andre Ward vs Prime Sven Ottke

An ATG and a future ATG, who you guys got?

I personally got Prime Sven in a close but clear SD.

The key factors in this fight is

1- The Sven Jab.
Can Ward avoid that ruthless and lethal telephone pole jab? The answer is no.
Ward will get hit as he attempt to close range and do inside fighting. By the 10th, I expect Ward's face to be a bloody mess as he take jab after jab.


2- INSIDE FIGHTING
Close, but edge to Ward, Andre got great inside fighting skills, Sven got very good inside fighting skills. Expect this to turn in Ward's favor if Ward gets close. Sven will bloody Andre good, but Andre's slightly stronger natural strength will help him edge the inside.


3- Beware the slug fest.
If Andre want to turn the fight into a war, it's over. Sven will KO Ward if this become a slug fest. The best thing for Andre to do is run and attempt to outbox Sven. I am not sure Andre can do this. Since Sven is faster and a more pure boxer then Andre (at this point of his career)

4- Heart.
This goes to Sven, he has never been defeated but had a far longer reign then Ward. Sven has proven time and time again how he rise in the face of adversity and deliver.


5- Location
This is huge, Oakland or Germany?
The best place have to be a neutral place for both guys.

I say Old Trafford in front of 75,000 screaming fans.
Advantage : Sven

but since it's in England, they might root against him just to spite him.



Overall, like I said, as of right now Prime Sven edges Current Ward

but Ward is far from finished.

That would have been the biggest issue if they were in the same era.

I think Ward have more power then Sven, but it's hard to tell.

Sven's strength is not in one punch ko, but an accumulation of punishment delivered to last.
