Man, I would love to see a fight like that. Brilliant clash of styles.

Canelo would have to draw out Toney´s counters to get any real offense going. Meanwhile you know Toney would be targeting his body.
It would be brilliant.

The weight drained lethargic version of Toney who fought RJJ would stand no chance. An in-shape, fight ready Toney at 168 before he ballooned up in weight between fights would be stylistic barnburner. It would have the potential to be one of the most entertaining matches ever. I think both fighters styles would bring out the best in each other and would create fireworks in the ring.

 

Toney would win as would RJJ and Andre Ward.

I think this fight would be quite stale. It would also be very boring fight.

Cano would orbabg pic up the decision the spite the actuall loss.

 

Toney wins 9 rounds clear. Canelo wins a wide decision on the judges cards.

 

I'm not nearly as high on Toney as others seem to be. I think Canelo is faster, a sharper counterpuncher and in better condition more consistently than Toney. I think their defence is comparable and in fact in some ways Canelo is better, for example, I think he integrates his counter punching game into his defence better than Toney did. Toney's best hope is of outworking Canelo ... but then, Canelo thrives on guys that come to him. I think Canelo wins on points.

This would have been a great fight. Canelo is in the prime of his right life now. He’s looking great. We all know that Toney was inconsistent. But Canelo wasn’t faster than Toney, not at SMW. Not from what I’ve seen. And the sharp, motivated versions of him who fought Tim Littles and Iran Barkley were great. The Barkley performance was simply outstanding. Toney also had slightly more power, as well as slight advantages in height and reach. He would have had to have been the favourite here.

 

Toney would murk Clenelo.
