I am not really knowledgeable when it comes to the boxing history but Texas has produced some recognizable boxers in the past such as George Foreman, Orlando Canizales and etc. I been noticing that the state has been becoming a hotbed for boxing in the United States recently, so I wanted to check out if there is anyone that knows any other current contenders or prospects to keep my eye on that I do not know. Boxers such as: Errol Spence Jermell Charlo Jesse Rodriguez Vergil Ortiz Jr. Brandon Figueroa Maurice Hooker Joshua Franco Omar Juarez Ryan Karl Mario Barrios This site is helpful on checking the current events for contenders and prospects: Texas Boxing Scene
Texas has produced lots of good fighters through the years not the least of whom are Big George Foreman and the "Galveston Giant" Jack Johnson. They also seem to have a brothers thing going on. You mentioned Charlo. There are also Donald and Bruce Curry, Orlin and Terry Norris and the Brothers Canizales, Orlando and Gaby. I am sure there are many others. One of my favorites is the "Uvalde Shotgun" Oscar Albarado.
Thanks for shedding light on these boxers that I didn't know about. Also didn't know there was so many siblings such as the Charlo brothers until you pointed it out.
