Wilder's head would be bouncing around his neck like a mad dog chihuahua on crystal meth as Ali's dazzling display of lightning fast combinations pepper him from pillar to post. He would throw right hands and windmills and hit....nothing. the fight would be ended on cuts or a ko by round 7....at the latest. "Down goes Wilder...down goes Wilder"

I see no possible outcome besides Wilder by wide UD.

Oh geez! the answer is obvious, in overall terms Muhammed Ali is the greatest heavyweight in history, and Ali would would spank Wilder. But I'll say this , Wilder would have a better chance at ko'ing Ali than anyone else. I think the guy has the greatest one shot power in heavyweight history.

A lot of modern HW's would have KO'ed Ali.

Nah I was agreeing with you. Other people mentioned how rope a dope wouldn't work as if Ali would have to use it.

I have to disagree with this. No way Wilder wins a wide UD. Maybe he knocks Ali out but he doesn't decision him.

Ali in his prime could move very well. He would stick and move and frustrate Wilder on his way to a decision victory. That would be my prediction. Ali dances his way to a decision.

Ali was a master boxer who could adapt to the situation at hand. His ability to adjust was amongst the best ever. His ability to move and fight whilst moving was probably the best of any HW ever.

Once again, I'm talking Ali at his best.

Ali resorted to rope-a-dope when he was past prime, didn't move as well or have the stamina to do it for 15 rounds. Ali at his best used movement probably better than any other HW.

I meant when he didn't have the stamina to stick and move for 15 rounds.

I clearly pick a prime Ali. I give Wilder a chance for a ko though because he hits really hard but more importantly...he's taller and with longer reach than most Ali opponents.

Ali was a tall rangey HW back in his day. Against Wilder, Ali would not be the tall guy.

Ali was an adaptable fighter though and I think his speed, movement and overall boxing skills would take the day.

Wilder always has a punchers chance and he can hit you from like 6 feet away.
