So what youre saying is that calzaghe doesnt have knockout power and stops his opponents on accumilation?

Did we not already know this?

when you make a thread bashing calzaghe's ko ratio and then have ths one as well its not rocket science to connect the dots

Hardly bashing him in that thread, just questioning his actual KO record; and that thread was made months ago.

Ive been glancng at boxer KO's for a time and just thought they might be of interest.

OK, well I'll let you off then in this thread. But as an outside observer who logged onto tonight to discover these threads for the first time, the other one does lean to the bashing/hating side.

Calzaghe's one punch power isn't that great. IMO this is because of his slaps. He's not hitting with the hardest part of his hand most the time and also by slapping the power isn't travelling in the best possible line through his fists.

The punch that dropped Eubank, for example, wasn't a slap as i recall.

In essence, by trying to land a barrage of punches, and slapping in the process, calzaghe smothers his own power.

Additionally, I think ref's in the UK are very safety conscious and like to stop fights without performing the full count when its not necessary.

I realize the list doesnt hold a lot of water, it has to do with who you fight..... But I will add to the top of the list, just so it is somewhat of a meaningliss, 'accurate' list:

    Edison Miranda Super Middle weight

I only have two of them (Cotto and Pavlik) in my top ten and four in my top 20 (adding Mosley and Haye)

You won't convince me that Kessler, Virchis, Chaegav, or Hatton hit harder than Haye, Peter or Vasquez.

Everyone on the list is a top 10 ring magazine contender at their respective weights; I'm not sure Miranda is.

At the end of the day its just a list of official recorded genuine KOs, nothing more nothing less.
Miranda is figting Arthur Abraham next whose also had a fair amount of KO's as well. Sounds like a bit of a bust up.

As you say though the standard of competition means a lot!
