Zab has only lost to elite fighters.

Gatekeepers lose to (and ocassionally beat) up & comers.

    Zab isnt a gatekeeper :nono

    I think Zab Judah too.

He is a good fighter, but not great. However if you beat him you are one of the best around 147. Zab has only lost to the top guys, so if you can beat him then you are pretty good.

No, Bika is back with Mark Pitts his trainer & Angelo Hyder his aussie based manager.

He should be back in the US after the birth of his child in late June.

I don't see the picks at 160. No gatekeeper in the division until/if Pavlik vs Abraham happens. Just too wide a gap right now.

K-9 Bundrage is a bit of a gatekeeper type.

    Keeps his opponents honest.

    Zab Judah - WW
    Shane Mosley - WW
    Kermit Cintron - WW
    Carlos Quintana - WW
    Glenn Johnson - LHW
    Nate Campbell - LW
    Rocky Juarez - SFW

Alot of the guys named so far are stepping stones ... guy who are will be the next step up as far as tough competition ... but the guys I mentioned above are guys who are fighters who've accomplished something and will make good fillers for a young up & comers resume ... they also hold the key to the elite/championship level.
Mosley's career is in limbo and even if he defeats Judah, he still has to work his way up by fighting some up and comers.
Quintana will be a stiff test for an up and comer, but I don't see him beating an elite fighter ... he would have to make his name on feeding on fighters on their way up. Like a Carlos Maussa, Quintana couldn't step up to the plate and perform against a top notch opponent ... and I see him being the sacraficial lamb for a nice prospect.

    Very nice call.

I agree that Bika and Judah aren't gatekeepers yet in the true sense. They're still viable and in the mix for titles. But they are gatekeepers to elite status in their divisions.

The WBA should give them "super keeper" status. :D
