Sergey Kovalev is the most obvious one. I mean the guy fought for free. Takes smaller purses, anything you name it.

Yep - props to Chisora who not only takes on high level opposition but he also comes to win.

True. He finally got the money rolling and chose the financial path instead.

The famous road warrior who never wants to fight outside Oakland?

Watch him duck the Kovalev rematch and retire.

I think Glowacki deserves a mention too.

Fought Marco Huck, Cunningham and Usyk in the space of 13 months and the first two fights were wars.

I get that the Huck title fight was a good fight for him to take but most boxers would have had much easier defenses in his position.

He turned pro the same year as Wilder (2008) who is yet to fight someone with a pulse and who has had laughable opponents for his first 5 defenses.

Cunningham is a warrior too, cruiserweight division is full of real fighters.

Not too many guys want to fight the red and blue corner and the two neutral corners as well. That's asking a lot :)

Cunningham was on his way to meeting Klitschko. The man is all heart. Fought the whose who of the HW division and then moved back down to face the hottest commodity at the time at CW b(Glowacki).

Every year there are talks about him turning down a fight or two.
Reminds me of Russell Jr. He too turned down plenty of fights before Lomachenko. Always reasoning that they were nobodies. FFS Russell called Mares and Ponce De Leon bums and not worthy any of his time :risas3:

He also fought the top cruiserweights before moving to HW. Guillermo Jones, Wlodarczyk (twice), Marco Huck, Adamek and Hernandez.
