...from KOing a lot of subpar opposition in lower journeymen and outright tomato cans, but then when they got to the top, they have yet to crack even a nominal contender and therefore have not shown any sort of real top class power... I'd go off the top of my head: Alexander Munoz(115) Ricardo Torres(LWW) Jermain Taylor(MW) Torres KD'd a weight drained Cotto and had a nice KO record, but he couldn't put a dent in Arnaoutis or Morua, both of whom are just average chinned. No need to discuss Jermain. Munoz really just doesn't hit as hard as his record suggests by his recent fights.
Against Toney he just caught him off balance. Toney was not hurt in the least by that shot. Against Wlad he roughed him up a lot. 2 of the knockdowns were with shots to the back of the head. He was never able to really put a hurt on either guy and I think that the trend will continue as he fights other top guys. He is the type of guy that hits extremly hard as long as his opponent sits perfectly still for about 5 minutes while he winds up a slow looping haymaker.
This may be so but I'll bet you this, current Michael Grant KTFO's any current British Heavyweight. Valuev. Honorable Mention to the newly retired Shannon Briggs.
