Current Malinaggi would've beaten the De La Hoya that Pac fought?

Rumors of a rehydration clause have been here since the Cotto fight. But NO ONE hase ever been able to produce anything, not even a quote from any fighter on one. Just stupid posters I guess.

Want to know something kind of ironic, ONLY Floyd has been documented as trying to use a rehydration clause in a fight. Was back when he was running his mouth off about a fight w/ Winky. Ellerbe even mentioned it in an article.

 

And I have no idea about any rehydration clause.....

but in Fairness to Pac Cotto did say...

“When we took this fight, we decided that we were fine with 145. We knew we could do it and we knew we would be at our best the next night,” he told DoghouseBoxing.com.

“We would not have taken this fight if we didn’t think I was going to be at my best the next night after the weigh-in,” he continued.

Yes. Oscar was done. 3 more lbs down and Forbes would've tore his face off too. Sad stuff.

 

There's a lot of fighters that could have beat that version of De La Hoya, not much of a stretch to say Paulie could have done it. De La Hoya not only was dehydrated for that fight but was also getting beat up in sparring by the likes of the late Edwin Valero, who stated Pacquaio was going to beat him, because Oscar's head was not in it.

 

Nobody considers it a good or even legitimate win for Pacquiao though...

I didn't either. Was just Winky calling Floyd's bluff IMO. Floyd was at 140 at the time. Would have been a bad fight to make. for both guys.

I dont like Pac offering this deal and I think Cotto is stupid for accepting it

 

Luck *******!! Most of the snow around town had melted. Was nice and war(for our standards), then we got hit two days ago. I'm so over winter. Didn't even snowboard once!! :-(
