If FlIVd came out of retirement tomorrow and fought and beat Canelo @ 160lbs as convincingly as he did the first time he could then claim to be the best ever and as a FlIVd hater id agree with the claim. But reality is that it wont happen and if it did at 42 he would get killed by Canelo.

Well I guess after a knee op his “physical” prime would of been before this.I just find it hilarious how many wouldn’t accept that him making 154lb was the absolute physical miracle and you could argue that him fighting at super middleweight and light heavyweight is where he can operate without having to kill himself?

I remember the commentators in the Cotto fight saying he’s an absolute barrel of a man and can’t think of anyone quite like him who was able to cut the weight and regain it overnight.Canelistas have never recognised that bulk equals size.Makes James nick name Lil Cinnamon hilarious now he’s fighting at 175 lol.

Floyd would find it harder to get through Canelo`s high guard now, he is much harder to hit now, funny, Floyd did a poor man`s version of the style and tactic Canelo used with Kov when Floyd fought Conor, walking him down with his hands high, but Canelo is a far better come forward fighter than Floyd was v Conor.

A brilliant boxer who never fought the fights that matter when they mattered so we can never know how great he really was or wasn't. Screamed the loudest about PEDs in the sport when he himself was a user. He had that video about being afraid for his health because Pac was knocking everybody out at WW but turns around a few years and says Pac cant know nobody out. He ducked Pac no matter how people try to spin needle and blood test stories. Hes a repeated abuser of his wife and children. He spends more money on gambling than he does on charity which speaks volumes on the type of person he is. What has he done for his home town in its time of need? He portrays himself as some genius businessman when we all know Ellerbe and Haymon are the brains behind FlIVd. He is what of the most well known athletes in the world and was for over a decade yet couldn't get endorsement deals because hes an A-hole.

Can’t argue with this lol. Some of his fights were really good like against Canelo but you’d have some fights where he’d run, foul, complain to the ref that someone hit his body and you’d always get the same well practiced narrative “great fighter, such great defence” like it was a broken record lol.
Having seen a recent vid that shows him with those pesky mosquito bites I’m in no doubt what he was up to and whilst I am a bit of a fan I’m not blind to all the usual A side crap about him.
Funny how history repeats itself and I’d say boxing over all sports has a high number of gullible fans.

This not even a fair question. For one Mayweather can't make 160. Couldn't even weight 154. Of course Canelo gets the win now. Mayweather has been retired for 2 years and way past prime. End of his prime Mayweather beats Canelo at 154 still and of course prime Mayweather beats him.

Mayweather at the end of his prime wouldn`t catch Canelo as much as he did at 154 because of Canelo`s high guard, he is far harder to hit now, but doesn`t throw enough leads and istoo much of a counter puncher to beat Floyd.

The only reason I’m answering this stupid question is because a guy at work who knows little about boxing (genuinely) asked, knowing I’m a fan.

Mayweather would lose. And badly. I could see the fight being stopped in the 8th or 9th, with Mayweather having pretty much zero success along the way. I’m sorry, but if you don’t understand this assessment, then you just don’t Fing know boxing. Period.

The people who say that the fight would go the same exact way are ****ing idiots. 160+ pound Canelo is an evolved, roided, bigger, smarter, faster, and harder punching than the 152 pounder that Floyd fought. Floyd gets knocked out and under 6.

0-0-0 rank novice Sugar ''Money'' Mac did better against Floyd than pre-PEDs Clenelo did aka Canelo.

Some people (definitely not all) would be shocked to see how shot Floyd is now. His legs are gone and his offensive timing is a shell. He was badly declined in 2015 and looked like Roy Jones did post-Calzaghe when he came back to fight McGregor.

Only for the first two rounds, Canelo landed more shots on Floyd in the last 6 rounds of their bout than Mosley did, specifically to the body and Floyd fought Mosley on the front foot, he was more defensive v Canelo and showed better movement.
