This is a current list. Past accomplishments have to be accounted for, but you are only as good as your last fight. I like Sakuraba as much as the next person, but he's not on my current list. Sakuraba is on my all time list.

Fedor just lost to Werdum. Werdum lost to Dos Santos. Any sensible heavyweight ranking system would have to look something like:
    1. Lesnar
    2. Carwin
    3. Velazquez
    4. Dos Santos
    5. Werdum
    6. Fedor

There is no way that Fedor belongs near the top of a current p4p list after a loss to Werdum. This loss may not have much affect on his all time status, but it does have an effect on his current status.

Edgar's win over Penn complicates matters as well. Edgar has a loss to the still undefeated Maynard.

    My list:
    1. Anderson Silva
    2. GSP
    3. Rua
    4. Aldo
    5. Carwin vs Lesnar winner
    6. Machida
    7. Jake Shields
    8. Frankie Edgar
    9. BJ Penn
    10. Dominick Cruz

My list could change a lot in the near future. Fedor would not be #1, but would be back in with a win over Werdum. A Penn win over Edgar would put him back in the top 5. Edgar would be in running for the top 3 with another win over Penn and a win over Maynard.

So now Lesnar or Carwin are better P4P than BJ Penn???? Look man, there are many errors in judgement in your post but that is absolutely ****ing ridiculous. This is "P4P" rankings!!!!!! You don't rank guys who basically only win because they are bigger and stronger than there opponents higher than BJ ****ing Penn!!!! Stupidity dog, utter stupidity!

Penn just lost to a fighter that may or may not be the division's best. The Lesnar and Carwin fight will decide the best in the heavyweight division. It is important to be the best in your own division before you can tout your overall superiority. Edgar lost to Maynard. Maynard is still fighting in the lightweight division, and has yet to lose. Penn was 4th on my list previously, and Edgar's loss to Maynard was a couple years ago. Edgar has also defeated Sherk since his loss to Maynard. There's still some unfinished business with Mayard. Once all of that is sorted out, the UFC lightweight champ will be back in the top 5.

Silva's win streak is the main factor. Silva passed GSP on my list when GSP lost to Serra.

How will the Lesnar Carwin fight decide the best in the division? I think both lose to JDS anyway and in 2 years they will both be gatekeepers. (That is IF they fight more then once a year.)

  6. Lesnar lost to Mir
    Mir > Brock

    Mir lost to Brandon Vera

    Vera > Mir > Brock

    Vera lost to Tim Silvia

    Tim > Vera > Mir > Brock

    Tim Silvia lost to Fedor

    Fedor > Tim > Vera > Mir > Brock

    Fedor lost to Werdum

    Werdum > Fedor > Tim > Vera > Mir > Brock

    Werdum lost to JDS

    JDS > Werdum > Fedor > Tim > Vera > Mir > Brock

    JDS lost to Joaquim

    Joaquim > JDS > Werdum > Fedor > Tim > Vera > Mir > Brock

If that happens, then the Lesnar Carwin fight winner will not be on my list and Dos Santos will.

Brock also defeated Mir after Mir defeated Nogueira after Nogueira defeated Sylvia. Brock also defeated Couture after Couture had defeated Sylvia and Gonzaga.

Ratings shift, they're not etched in stone. Even if they were they can be crossed out, or put on new tablets.

  11. If Mir can beat Brock then Shane, Vera, Cruz, and Freeman can also beat Brock. If those guys can beat Brock then Scott Adams, Nate, Bob, Osami, Valentijin, AA and Melvin can also beat Brock. If those guys can beat Brock then Fedor, Gegard, Doong, Sik Yoon, Akiyama, and Faverus can also beat Brock. If this is the case then the UFC doesnt have the best fighters, since many of these fighters are outside the UFC.

If people can legitimise these type of garbage towards Fedor's fights then lets do exactly the same to Brock Lesnar.

If Brock can beat Mir, he can beat Nogueira which means he can beat Sylvia. If Brock can Beat Couture, he can beat Sylvia again along with Vera and Gonzaga.

If Werdum can beat Fedor, then Dos Santos and Arlovski can.

    See how stupid this gets.

P4P list are ******ed. They are make believe. I wish everyone could see that. You go by the history of a fighter, the record, and the people they have beat. P4P is a way of people thinking someone is better in a "only if" world.
