Was looking through Ring's old lists of HW top 10, and I actually think that this is probably the most outwardly strong top 5 there's been in many years. (Of course, assuming you count Vitali as co champ and not a contender.) In years past, a lot of very small hw's or hw's already beaten by a K (and others) clustered up there that were just hard to imagine really posing a genuine threat to a Klitschko. Right now, the top contender lost to Wlad but no one else, and has really established himself as a great #2. #3 and 4 are undefeated, true SHW giants with plenty going for them (including rabid haters), and 4 and 5 both lost to Wlad, but to no one else, but Pulev is a true SHW with a good resume and Jennings is decent sized and gave arguably the best performance anyone has against Wlad in many years. I think this is the best group of non K's since Lennox retired, if you disagree, post which year you think was better.
I actually don't think much of Wilder and only a little but more of Fury but I do agree that Povetkin, Pulev, Jennings is a very good 1,2,3, after the champion. I just hope they get back in ring. So yes I do think it's fairly good and better than most give credit for.
