Arent you tired of the kind of treatment that Boxing recieves here in Europe for instance? What about the last fights of both Klitschkos. Really a ridiculous show before the bell with a concert or I don't know what was that in the Haye-Wlad fight when they set up some kind of stupid play before the fight. The white-Mcfit ring also sucks..., and the German television is a disgrace also. The minute between rounds is filled 100% with publicity. It does not feel like a boxing match , one gets the feeling of watching wrestling or something with all the lack of seriousness. Bring back HW boxing to the states!!
To get the HW division back to the US, it first needs a top heavyweight and it needs to get rid of those extremely expensive PPV's... Until then, live with it!
I agree, that all that **** is over the top not to mention the dynamic camera they use. They are trying to make up for the incredible lack of skill in the ring. Did you see that ****ing garbage of wlad v haye? That had to be the worse display of "boxing" I have ever witnessed. However, bring it back to this side of the pond? hell, they can keep it!
I am German, and I agree 100% with the thread starter. What I despise the most is the fact that they only interview "celebs" that don't know **** about boxing - like Boris Becker, Til Schweiger, Ralf Möller and Uschi Glas.
I am serious, and his wife is the noisest woman ever. Whenever a punch lands, she goes straight into scream mode.
I agree that some of these fights in germany is really annoying. First of all there's always the notion that the home fighter needs to get knocked out or completly, dominantly outboxed and then some. Also it is annoying with those bs rock bands playing, it reminds you of wrestling, and i remember i think it was the valuev holyfield bout where there were highlighted posters of past time greats like Louis, Ali, Holmes, but then the "huge" surprise that sendt me into a coma; Valuev was presented in the line of these champions as if he was part of their league haha. Let me hear it for the beast from the east
I'm really enjoying the heavyweight division right now. :good It's improved a lot during the past few years: Ruiz is retired, Byrd is retired, and we have lots of very good up-and-comers like: Robert Helenius Edmund Gerber Seth Mitchell David Price Tyson Fury Magomed Abdusalamov Mike Perez Luis Ortiz Vyacheslav Glazkov Michael Wallisch Bogdan Dinu Mariusz Wach Kubrat Pulev People whine about the "good old days" of heavyweights being gone, but I think the present international era is awesome! :thumbsup
