I just back to to the United States been teaching English in Tver, Russia. Just watched 9 months of boxing in 3 days thanks to my sister recording fights. This is my Heavyweight Top 15. (1) Wladimir Klitschko (2) Ruslan Chagaev (3) Sam Peter "Don't be so hard on the guy, he showed heart." (4) Sultan Ibragimov (5) Oleg Maskeav (6) Tony Thompson (7) Nicolay Valuev (8) Juan Carlos Gomez (9) Vladimir Virchis "Hardest Hitter in the Heavies." (10) Sahsa Povetkin "Will beat Byrd in 7 rounds." (11) Sergei Lyakhovich (12) Jamel McCline (13) Oliver McCall (14) Evander Holyfield (15) Taras Bidenko Tell me what you guys think?
1. Wladimir Klitschko 2. Ruslan Chagaev 3. Oleg Maskaev 4. Sultan Ibragimov 5. Samuel Peter 6. Nicolay Valuev 7. Sergei Lyakhovich 8. Tony Thompson 9. Vladimir Virchis 10. Chris Byrd
I heard Sergei and Ruiz are fighting on 10/13. Anyone know if it will be on tv? Cant wait for Sultan and Evander.
"Current Top 10 Heavies" .. .so why do you list top 15? I would drop down Thompson below Valuev, Gomez out of top 10, McCall should be in top 10, Ruiz and Brock in top 15.
I meant to type Current Top 15. Jet lagged still I guess. My bad. I forgot about Brock. He did beat Jamel awhile back.
In that case... 11. Oliver McCall 12. Calvin Brock 13. Alexander Povetkin 14. Evander Holyfield 15. Jameel McCline On the Outside Looking In... Eddie Chambers Alexander Dimitrenko Juan Carlos Gomez Lamon Brewster
... or intially you try produce 10 spots but then you realized Holyfiled is not over there :nono and you have decited for a sneaky move to conveniently extend the number of positions? :angel
You caught me. I still like Evander, he is my favorite Heavy of all time. I don't like his chances against Sultan though. 115-111 is what I am predicting in favor of Ibragimov.
No, the worst may happen for Holly is a draw due to his inactivity. I think he will UD Ibragimov or stop him in 8.
In Russia! I don't think the roof will let that happen. Evander might pull off the upset. It would be sweet if he did.:happy
Hi, Regarding Vlad Virchis, how would you rate his power compared to say a Ron Lyle, Earnie Shavers or George Foreman? I have never seen Virchis fight, though I have heard that he is powerful. Grebfan9 www.firstroundboxing.com
Right up there with those guys. I saw like 5 of his fights on a DVD I rented in a videostore in Tver. The guy has minimal skills, but if he catches you :dead Here is a link to Virchis vs Serin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aO1XNtQo5Yc
