Is the Serbian really American or just American based?? I am not really sure that you can call him an us light heavy weight. Anyway!
I don't consider Ward a LHW yet, because his last fight was at a catch weight of 172 - and he hasn't tested any real LHW yet
Also Edwin Rodriguez, is kinda American. I'm not sure how these things are judged. Its amazing how many top level boxers can claim duel nationality. Suppose you're always more likely to get guys willing to fight I the immigrant communities
They have a few prospects coming up in addition to Browne and Kalajdzic too, all of whom seem to be pretty heavy handed. Joe Smith Jr. 19-1(16) - the loss was due to Smith suffering a badly broken jaw in the 2nd round and qutting in the 4th due to the pain being too severe. http://boxrec.com/boxer/513839 Michael Seals 19-0(14) - Seales is up against Edwin Rodriguez in November http://boxrec.com/boxer/477129 Trevor McCumby 20-0(16) http://boxrec.com/boxer/550236 Thomas Williams only has the one loss and can come again.
The manner of Williams' defeat more than the fact makes me very doubtful that he'll ever be more than a fringe contender - at best. He simply collapsed mentally in the face of adversity. Good luck to him though - maybe he'll grow from the experience.
It was concerning the way he just caved in mentally. I thought he looked pretty good in the fights I'd seen of his prior to that though. It was weird the way he really sucked up to Teddy Atlas straight afterwards too. It was almost like he was young boy desperately trying to seek reassurance from his father and get his approval after letting him down by failing to achieve something. That's the kind of presence and charisma Teddy has about him though. He just commands respect from everyone who comes into contact with him :yep
