If they were two unconnected boxers i would pick Wlad because he is technically superior, takes away Vitali's size advantage and has the faster hands. Vitali is in a different world chin-wise, but at the same time, while he's a huge puncher, he wears his men down instead of having big one-punch power. I think Wlad can avoid too much punishment and go the distance, winning a hard fought decision. However, since they're brothers, i think Wlad can't overcome the "he's the bigger brother" psychology whereas Vitali always had a huge chip on his shoulder, bigger than Larry Holmes'.
Problem is Vitali said the opposite.... personally i have no idea who would win but i would have loved to see the fight.
Yeah, obviously :good I'd still say that Vitali is the mentally stronger and therefore more capable of digging deep (going through pain) to get that win. Wladimir is an excellent boxer, skillwise he's probably slightly ahead of Vitali, but we all know he's got more flaws then his big bro. :thumbsup
Vitali has the ability to turn any fight into a dog fight, Wlad has no chin and would be exposed very easily against his bigger brother. Vitali proved he can take Wlads type of punch when he fought guys like Lewis and Sanders, Vitali would TKO him in the 3rd.
I am not so sure if Wlad would be able to get in there and have Vitali in defensive mode all the time so it's all about jabs and evading backwards with light feet. The Vitali who back-pedalled well against Sanders and boxed Danny Williams superbly well would beat the Wlad who controlled the distance against Brewsta. Extremelly tedious fight.
Some of the punches that VITLAY landed on Lewis would have laid WALDO out, count on it. WALD loses, unless he grows a beard and dreadlocks.
