    Who wins?

Andrew Golota, who looked to be the defacto #1 HW at the time beating Riddick Bowe senseless 2x.

    or

Wladimir Klitschko, the current #1 HW who has dominated 5 top 10 hws the last 3 years.

Well, Wlad would fight scared and Golota would fight like a lunatic.

There are a few possible scenarios:

    Wlad's victory possibilities:

Wlad by decision in one of the most boring fights ever.

Wlad by accidental KO as Golota rushes in to hit him in the balls.

Wlad by DQ after Golota does hit him in the balls.

    Golota's victory possibilities:

Golota by KO/TKO with a sloppy haymaker which hits the terrified Wlad and causes him to freeze, allowing Golota to unload.

Any good heavyweight can look good beating up on a corpse, bowe was finished in both fights against Golata golota did nothing special then beat up on a broken fighter any decent heavyweight could have done what golota did to bowe

i dont know if id go that far. golota looked to be a very good hw at that point. big, heavyhanded, excellent cmbinations, chin, heart albeit undpredictable.

But Wlad's punishing, consistent jab and foot movement would fluster and eventually unhinge Golota. Unlike Bowe, Wladimir wont give Golota a stationary target. Wlad late stoppage.

Wlad would probably get KTFO, if the right version of that crazy son of a ***** turns up

for everyone who forgot or never seen

wlad tactics is: defend yourself with jab, if the opponent is willing to go down fire right hand but only if its really nececary :yep

That single round is more entertaining than Wladimir Klitschko´s entire career.

1996 Golota had a very snappy jab which would cause problems for Wlad who tends to try to neutralize an opponents best offensive weapon by hitting the opponents glove, Wlad focusing too much on defense could eventually lead to Golota putting together a combination of punches to Wlad face. So I say a focused Golota has the ability to win a UD or even a late stoppage.

that fights only show how finished bowe really was. besides that two "wins" what are golotas biggest achievements? winning against nicholson and po'uha (where he should have gotten dq'd)? he has no wins against a top 10 fighter, period. everytime he stepped up he lost his nerves or got blasted out. he has a 10% chance maybe but wlad would be the big favourite.

Golota gets blown out when he faces top guys who can punch. He wouldn't last long vs. Wlad.

the problem is that wlad cant

the argument like 'Wladimir Klitschko, the current #1 HW who has dominated 5 top 10 hws the last 3 years.' assume that todays HW is the same as it was 10'rs ago

and we all know thats not true, its completly different almost incomparable

10'rs ago hw division was one of if not the best,

todays times everyone complain on this division, it sucks etc

wlad simply never had the oponent which could make him ATG and thats the only reason why he is NOT up to know ATG and probably never will be due to lack great hw at this division

Golota fought all the best fighters of his era and I respect that more then fighting all the bums Wlad has ever fought or at least guys past his prime

just look at Byrd from fight against Golota and Klitschko thats completly 2 different Byrds, in the Klitschko fight he didnt have the balance, head movent etc

and Golota won Byrd and Ruiz both if you ask what he achieved

Golota was extremely capable, but he was just aweful against big punchers. Not that Wlad has an iron chin, but Golota folded so hard against Lewis, Tyson and Brewster. I think he'd cave in early. But that version that gave Bowe a hiding twice would have trouble a lot of good and even great heavyweights.
