Golota from those fights with Bowe has a serious chance to beat ANY heavyweight in history....he was that good. Look at his head movement, his combination, his punch output, jab, body punching....you just dont see that in the heavyweight division these days

true, but I think that many people exaggerate those 2 loses to Lewis and Brewster

he didnt lost those fights because they were so better then him

they were extremly lucky(specialy brewster) caught him early when they have all the power in both hands and speed on the begining of the figths and thats all

**** happens, 2 times, the same how many times Lennox Lewis got caught

the difference is only that ONE PUNCH was enough for Lewis BOTH times

and opposite Golota has stand up 3times but it was just to damn early for both opponents to not take advantage of that

I guess its great evidence that Golotas chin was better then Lewis

and as for Klitschko just compare Klitschko and Golota loss to Brewster

Golota: 1round dewastating left hook and the rest is history, no chance of coming back after this although Golota stand up 3 times

Klitscko: dominating for 4rounds, Brewster on the floor twice, absolutely no speed throw a few body punches in 5th and then one left jab, one left hook and Klitschko fall down like he would be drunk on dopes at the same time, dont have power to stand up like he would run marathon :yep

I just dont see any comparison betwen Golota and Klitschko, prime Golota is one level up in every boxing skill

Golota has never handled big punchers well, and Bowe was already finished when he fought Golota....Wlad KO early

Lewis took punches from Bruno, Briggs, Mercer, Tua, Klitschko, Tyson (old but still powerful early), Holyfield twice (dito), Morrison, Tucker and Ruddock and nothing happened. In addition, he avenged both of his knockout losses.

Golota took punches from .......um..... actually, any puncher he faced knocked him out or stopped him otherwise. Bowe has always been an attrition puncher who throws 60+ punches a round but no big concussive ones; he still had Golota down in the second fight. Even Grant stopped him. I know that he quit instead of being knocked out, but who says he won't quit when a much more talented Wlad hits him? Golota has a very weak chin and is in no way, shape or form comparable to Lewis'.

As for this particular matchup, Golota is not a big puncher. He's got good puncher power, but most of it comes from his fluid technique, speed and skill. He won't be able to do what Sanders did. His durability isn't on the level of a Brewster or a Puritty either. Wlad, on the other hand has power off the scale and when he lands, Golota will flop one way or another.

    Good post,faisal!!!

    Well spoken!

Wlad would probably beat both Bowe and Golota quite easily. Neither of them could hold a candle to Wlad in terms of skills and natural talent, and neither of them had more pop in their fists than Wlad.
I wouldnt have bet a single coin on Golota or Bowe if they had faced the present Wlad in their prime.Wlad plays in a different league.

So we all agree Bowe was not a big puncher then?

    Just checking.....

That puts a lot of other things into perspective really. like Holy v Bowe and Bowe's chances of beating Lewis.....

Wlad wins this one by frustrating Golota with his jab and technical ability. He ends up winning a wide points victory. Golota for me is overrated and I am no fan of Wlad at all really but I see him getting the better of Golota.

i guess it depends what version. prime evander would be way too quick and active inside for '96 andrew. if golota could keep it outside, he has a better chance but he never displayed the discipline or intelligence to control the fight or himself. but he could give the slightly faded version a run for his money.

ludacris. What is golota's best win? Mike Mollo, Olin Norris? :think

Criticize his resume all u want but he has by far the best resume of any hw active today which includes wins over: byrd 2x, sultan, brock, peter, brewster, TOS, Mccline, Mercer, Botha, Jefferson, Barrett, Bostice, Shultz.

The big difference between wlad and golota and everyone else around today is his consistency. the guy is a true professional and always come prepared. lennox and homles were criticized early in their reigns for fighting nobodies too but they maintained a certain level of consistency over a long period and now no one cany deny their greatness. wlad is a long way's off but u dont have to beat great fighters to become a great champ. it's more about maintaining a level of consistency.
